I see that the New York State Attorney-General as issued the previously disgraced televangelist Jim Bakker a cease-and-desist letter ordering him to stop touting his 'silver' cure for the coronavirus on his TV show (for a modest USD125 ... no second bottle free).

I guess Bakker sees this as a form of opportunity knocks ... can we expect our own Bishop Brian to follow suit?

Sad the exploitation of the weak and worried under the guise of religion.

All religion is about the exploitation of the week and worried.

And "Bishop Brian" has already told us that "Born again Xtians" won't get the virus.

But Bakker and Tamaki are in good company.

Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, president of the Hindu Mahasabha—a century-old organization that advocates Hindutva (or “Hinduness”)—declared that “consuming cow urine and cow dung will stop the effect of infectious coronavirus.” The swami added that a “person who chants ‘om namah shivay’ and applies cow dung” on his body “will be saved.” The Sanskrit chant is a salutation to Shiva, a Hindu deity.

Then there's the Jewish Rabbi who thinks the world needs to build the "Third Temple" to eradicate the virus.

“May it be God’s will that we merit to build a crown and palace for the One King,” Rabbi Lipo said. “God willing, this crown will protect the world from the corona.”

Numerous video clips surfaced on Twitter over the last few days that, according to a top research organization, shows Iranians licking Islamic shrines believed to be infected with coronavirus to prove that they are not afraid of the epidemic, some declaring that they hope they are infected.

And the real biggie, Donald Trump's Corona Virus Czar, Mike Pence, praying for an end to the virus. No more money for the CDC, just heaps more prayer.

The only shills missing are the Naturopaths. Staggered that we haven't seen boatloads of them, heading to China, Italy, and Iran with their cures.

Isn't colloidal silver one of theirs?

Bungled surgery, radiation and chemotherapy left me with a weakness for UTI's.
Usually down to the DR who always prescribes antibiotics.

One of the four rules avoiding the CoV19 is keep away from Dr rooms and hospitals.

The alternatives appear to have OK worked this time.

Rusty Arrow you must be aghast at the qualifications of our health minister Reverend David Clark then. He dropped out of med school to get his PhD in Divinity no less.

I'll judge him on his attitude to health, whether he accepts medical science or insists on prayer. a PhD in Divinity is not necessarily evidence of unquestioning religious faith, but can also be evidence of an enquiring mind.

According to Wikipedia He initially studied medicine but abandoned that in favour of pursuing degrees in theology and philosophy. and He was the celebrant at the civil union of MP Grant Robertson.

I guess he is a cafeteria Presbyterian.

Cafeteria Presbyterian that.
