WHAT DOES THE MEDIA KNOW THAT WE DON'T?

I see the media (Stuff) are predicting new revelations on the Karel Sroubek affair in the New Year.    This on the heals of the release by the government of a slew of information sought under the OIA at 4.30 pm on the last working day before Xmas.    It was no coincidence that all the information  was heavily redacted ... draw your own conclusions.

So the big question ... what does the media know that we don't.   I could speculate but I won't.   Others can.

One thing for sure ... Ian Lees-Galloway, the poor little rich boy cloth cap unionist, the scourge of the parliamentary Hansard staff, won't be having an overly restful break.   Sad that.

I expect the media knows the same thing we do: that National's spin doctors will continue feeding them juicy click-bait about Sroubek to try and create a false perception of corruption in the Labour Party.

Fortunately, now that we know the basis of the propaganda is just the familiar, bitter stuff that accompanies marital property disputes, we can treat the propaganda with the contempt it deserves.

PM ... why then the almost total redaction of material released at 4.30 pm on the Friday before Xmas?

I can’t think of a better home goal designed to keep the story alive.

Last Stuff published on the issue was 21 December 2018.
"The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) are now undertaking a review on the decision-making process and INZ would now undertake reviews on how they prepared case files."

Noel ... no, look at their predictions for 2019 ... "9. The fallout from the Karel Sroubek deportation scandal will continue into the new year".

Milt - I applaud your loyalty to the current government leadership but, can you be sure that there is not a very close relationship between, Sroubek, Hardcore, Gaylord and by extension/association Ardern?

Or are you just hoping?

The fallout will continue.
Of course it will the reports have yet to be published.

Who’s Gaylord, pms? Nice little attempted smear by abuse and innuendo. You can do better though, come on out and say what you’re thinking.

pdm: can you be sure there isn't a very close relationship between [insert people I consider to be dodgy here] and [insert National MP names here]? What makes it such a fun game is that the answer is always "No, you can't be sure." That's why propagandists love the game so much.

Milt - probably you are correct in the widest possible context but it is not members of the National Party and their associates that are under such intense scrutiny at the moment - so what you infer is an irrelevant attempt to distract from the present debate.

Snowflake - Gaylord was a typo for Gayford- if Milt had drawn it to my attention I would have apologised. You do not warrant any such courtesy.

But I see that our wonderful feminist media want to keep Lee Ross affair alive to embarrass
the National Party and the hatred of Simon Bridges, with the promotion of Judith Collins again again again to embarrass the National party and promote our wonderful mummy Princess Di Ardern.

Quite right Paulus. They can't tell the wood from the fleas.

Just a typo eh pms? Coz the l and the f are right next door to one another on your keyboard I suppose. As logical as your response to Milt, which was effectlively saying it’s ok to smear when the Nats do it. Are you a moron, or do you just think everyone else is?

Poolus, the JLR thing is genuine news (ie that the Nats could have someone like that in their Caucus for years and it’s only a problem when people find out about it. You sound like a whiny loser.

Oh me or my, me thinks the left are getting twitchy.

A hot sun is bad for snowflakes in general. I can see this being bigger than John Key's pony tail....

JLR is a dead issue, most people see him as a case of medical misadventure, as for the Adern issue hard to find anything comparable in 9 years of National..... at the very top of the Labour Govt and only 1 year in govt!!!

Is it going to be bigger than Philip Tito Fields??

As our old mate Eggie says " If it quacks like a....

Philip Field (he ain't Tonto anymore) was an paragon of virtue compared with these drongos. He made the fatal mistake of muttering disloyal murmurings about his Frau Fuehrer and so she chopped off his head.

Clark would have had Curran and Less Calloway swinging from the yardarm long before now.

True on the hanging bit, but who is going to hang Adern,.....what do they call it when you hang yourself, like that Australian rocker who hanged himself too much?

I love watching the left, they pontificate, they lecture, they tell us all how to lead our lives, the bear down on the President Trump, they cant do maths, or finance, they virtue signal beyond belief, they are just simple little hypocrites at the end of the day.

In fact Adolf I think you would have to close down the blog, if Snowie, David, Milt and all the others said "guys we got it badly wrong, we are hypocrites, you were right, we apologise and withdraw, she was a double dealing b&*&&&h all along"

Yeah but that would be no fun.

If it quacks like a duck...

still waiting the earthshaking revaluations about high born connections that were hinted at the "drunken orgy" labour youth party..........yesterdays chip wrappings.

It seems Simon Bridges is the illegitimate son of Pol Pot and Me Too....there I've said it so it must be true.

RosscoWLG said...

Eggie.... as you old mum said "if quackery is involved be patient young Eggie as it will soon start waddling"

Lord Egbut Nobacon said...

I wonder how revelations turned into revaluations...'tis magic beyond man's understanding.

Egbut ... quess you will have to wait until March for the trial and the 'revelations'.

Gayford and Gaylord are both conventional names, although Android's spell checker only recognised the latter which could easily explain the typo with autocorrect occurring.
Perhaps Snowflake could explain how the name Gaylord is a smear? Or is Snowflake just being a whiney little tosser as per?

Snowflake said...

Look it up in the Urban Dictionary, Johno, you disingenuous wanker (or just speak to your likemindeds in the Kiwiblog sewer). Blame your chum’s attempted smears on some weird autocorrect glitch if that makes you feel better, I’ll run with the right’s form.

Johno said...

Lol being a position on urban dictionary. What a loser.

Calm down children.

From Wiki ... Gaylord is a name of Norman French origin, from the Old French gaillard meaning "joyful" or "high-spirited".

What status does the Urban Dictionary have?
