I have just finished reading Jeffrey Archer's latest book 'Heads You Win'. Like all his books it's hard to put down once once you open the first page ... plot within plot within plot. The co-hero of the story is Sasha Karpenko who escaped from the Soviet Union to become an extremely successful Labour Party politician and cabinet minister (that will please Egbert) while the arch villain is ..... now that would be telling (you need to go to the last word on the last page (472) to find out.

Highly recommended.

I'm afraid I find JA very putdownable Veteran. Apart from being a self entitled twat who I have seen many times on TV interviews he also follows in his father footsteps in being a liar, criminal, devious bastard and very nasty piece of work..

Yes, I know, it's just a book but in the genre of read and forget Airport books he's right up there. Rumour has it that now he has oodles of dosh he has a whole "backroom" of budding authors to work out plots so I might be unfair in slating the book..

Egbut ... I'm not disputing anything you say but all that aside I find Archer's books entertaining and in the must read category.

You read this while Kelvin Davis bangs on about the numbers of Ngapuhi doing time and wants 'them' out!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps that's why he was rated the worst performing minister in cabinet with a score of 1.84 out of 5 (but that wuz before I L-G's 'troubles'.
