A college I am associated with has a tradition of publishing in its magazine details of old collegians who have completed their tertiary studies along with the degree earned.

So in the summer edition of the magazine I see listed details of graduates from Massey, AUT, Lincoln, Unitec, Canterbury, Otago Waikato and Victoria.

And this under Auckland ... 'The University of Auckland, which is attended by a very large number of old collegians, has this year declined to supply names of recent graduates on the grounds of privacy.'

PC gone completely barking mad.

What’s that got to do with political correctness? Not sure you know what political correctness is, but it’s got sweet FA to do with privacy obligations. Unless you’re one of those nutters who use it as an all purpose term of abuse for anything they can’t figure out. You’re not one of those though are you “Veteran”?

I hope I'm not thread jacking if I include this example of mind boggling PC and hypocrisy from Péter Szijjártó the right wing anti immigrant Hungarian foreign minister

He said the "UK leaving was “worst possible scenario for us” because “our preference would have been for Britain to stay in and migrants to stay out”.

In an interview with the Guardian in Manchester, where he was opening a new consulate general for the estimated 70,000 Hungarians who immigrated to the UK and living in the north of England,

Yet again Snowflake you present as a patronising Git/Prat/Berk (or even all three). Pavlov's dog can't hold a candle to you in your reaction to a perfectly legitimate post. Clearly you don't understand the Act because if you did you would realise the action of the University of Auckland in declining to release the list (action out of step with every other tertiary institution in the land) represents an extreme interpretation the word 'unwarranted' in s 29(1)(a) of the Act so much so that I am perfectly entitled to label their action as pc gone mad.

Nevertheless and having regard to your sensitivities, I'm quite happy to withdraw that assertion and substitute it with 'barking mad'. There, fixed it for you.

But in your tirade you ignore the substance of the post ... figures.

Egbut ... PC not sure but hypocrisy yes.

You said that an interpretation (which appears reasonable) of a legal statute was PC GONE MAD!!! It’s clearly not even close to what even a total ignoramus would classify as political correctness at all. Not my fault you’re a clown, but it is my pleasure to point it out. On the substance, there’s not much to it, but old white right wing nutters will get worked up over virtually anything for some reason. Why is that?

Why there is an Angel on top of the Christmas Tree!

One Christmas things were especially difficult and frustrating for poor Santa. The elves were on a work slowdown, the Chinese manufacturers Santa was outsourcing some of the manufacturing to were turning out dreadfully crap toys, Mrs Claus was nagging Santa about smoking his pipe in the house, and just when the weather report for Christmas Eve was looking particularly foul Santa learned that Rudolf's red nose was a result of a serious egg nog and rum habit.

At that moment the doorbell rang. Santa pulled the door open, shouting, "Well, what do you want?" only to see an angel standing on the porch with a Christmas tree. "Where do you want me to put this?" inquired the angel.

And that, dear children, is why there's an angel on the top of the tree.

Rossco how dare you - you will have put Snowflake into conniptions.

Snowflake ... your interpretation of 'unwarranted' is clearly not mine nor that of every other tertiary institution in the land. As for the rest of your tirade and do you try hard at being an arrogant socialist Git or does it just come naturally?

Don't bother to reply. I find your patronising nonsense boring in the extreme. Grow up sonny and take a leaf out of PM's or Egbut's book and argue the point or don't bother.

That’s an old joke Wig. A bit like you.

Vet, so why do you think it’s PC GONE MAD!!, as opposed to something you just find a bit perplexing? Please enlighten me.

You have encapsulated (he won't understand that word) the reasons Snowflake never again will set foot on my blog.
