LINE BACKER MISSED.

Yesterday the increasingly  under the pump appointed PM resorted to childhood name calling by ending an answer to the Opposition Leader with an accentuated "Simple Simon".

Now in US Football, the line backer rides shotgun behind the defensive line to cover, in the Parliament the role is filled currently by one Trevor Mallard but yesterday whether deliberate or not, such a clear and provocative threat to "order" was not picked up until Bridges was well into his next supplementary before the worst speaker in my time and that includes "fingernails on the blackboard" Margaret Wilson, no small achievement incidentally, finally politely asked Arden to 'withdraw and apologise'.

The relentless probing around the astonishingly naive effort to give convicted drug importer, wife threatener and general all round thug Karel Sroubek deportation blocking residency as a protection at the end of his five year sentence for importing almost five Kgs of MDMA, continues to erode the lofty position of the Fairy Princess, Winston First employed to give impetus to his twilight status.

Amazing that with all the history of Pollies getting undone by the cover up when the original mistake was no threat, that a communications graduate ignores her recent text history.
If Hardcore's message of congratulation is so innocent just release it and stop with the pinhead dancing, after all Key was placed in a position where releasing was seen as a better option so the suggestion that precedent creation is a problem does not exist, OTOH hiding embarrassing messages might just still come around on the Karma bus.

Much prefer Milt's post.....argue the timeline Dodger.....oh sorry, I forgot that you take a shot then retire to the rear.

I'm a wife threatener as well......just one more ding in the Jeep and she's banned. I'm also a gun runner as I once brought a .36 Remington pistol into NZ in my golf bag. It went out five years later in a container. So far in both cases nobody has died.

As you are a Trump apologist I wonder how low your poster boy can sink in his own swamp

Breaking News on the now deceased Trump foundation........."The largest donation in the foundation’s history — a $264,231 gift to the Central Park Conservancy in 1989 — appeared to benefit Trump’s business: it paid to restore a fountain outside Trump’s Plaza Hotel. The smallest, a $7 foundation gift to the Boy Scouts that same year, appeared to benefit Trump’s family. It matched the amount required to enrol a boy in the Scouts the year that his son Donald Trump Jr. was 11.

PM under pressure resorts to abuse. Clearly the Sroubek affair is getting to her. Time to trot out a picture of her and baby Neve along with Jethro under the Christmas Tree .... oooops, I forgot, 'she's an apostate Mormon with a penchant for whisky.

As for her protector in Parliament and the best thing to be said about him is that the Hutt South electorate gained when he walked from the seat.

It's simple...Simon. Bet Winston wishes he thought of that. Still it's better than Tooth fairy...... Lighten up Veteran, It;s Christmas.

She apologised and withdrew and no one left in protest to waste parliamentary time.

Egbut ... It is said that a Bachelor of Communication Studies degree is the preferred choice of those who don't have the intellectual nous to successfully complete a BA degree ... I couldn't possibly comment. Nevertheless I'll put Simon Bridges' BA in Political Science and History, his LLB (Hons) and his Post Graduate law degree at Oxford against 'her' BCS any day of the week. Simple indeed.

For Gerald ... the Speaker only ordered 'her' to withdraw and apologise after being forced to do so on a Point of Order. Nothing proactive from a Speaker determined to maintain his reputation as tribal Labour and committed to maintaining the witless protection programme at the expense of any attempt to appear neutral.

What does this "cover-up" consist of? Do you have anything to go on beyond a firm conviction that there must be one because you don't like Labour?

...convicted drug importer, wife threatener and general all round thug Karel Sroubek...

It's funny how all it takes is for National's propagandists to indicate a direction and its supporters are off yapping away into the distance. Sroubek seems like a fairly unpleasant character, but then so does his ex-wife - not to mention her front man, Mark Mitchell. All these attempts to portray him as some kind of violent, malicious threat to society just make you look silly.

PM ... and your post is making you look silly but keep on keeping on digging the hole ... please.

Hey Milt. Your favorite Prime Minister has rendered herself liable for rejection at the border if she attempts to enter Australia. On account of her dubious associations.

Bloody good, eh?

Alemain Kopu would have made a far better prime Minister.

Well, Australia is a very odd place, so nothing that happens there surprises me.

You may be astonished to hear this, but I don't rate conservative prime ministers very highly. Can we just take each other's opinions on who's a shit prime minister as read?

The Veteran said...

Yep, that might help cool the temperature a tad. We agree to agree that all Prime Ministers are shit PM's when viewed from the other side. But hold on ... that's not right. David Lange has to be given credit for transforming the New Zealand economy and while you can argue the toss that it 'hurt' he did what needed to be done ... until he bottled out. Holyoake wasn't crap either. Nah, not all bad but I guess I'll reluctantly go with the meme so peace can reign.

Yep, Gerald. I'm wrong ... but Gueez, the Speaker was pretty slow on his feet to pick up on it. My point re intellect remains.
