For Chris B and Raymond A Francis, the view from our Van Bedroom window when we awoke after parking in the Braemar Station Yards on a recent NZMCA Safari Rally. We parked the previous night during a NW storm so it was pure chance that that was the view.

On to the results. Raymond A Francis the winner and picks up the EChardonay for the connection. Yes Holland was the first of three Labour leaders not to make PM the others Nordmeyer and last week Phil Goff.

Harry Holland who died before the 1935 election propelled Micheal Joseph Savage to power.
Lake Pukaki and the alps Sth of Mt Cook, from a small knob through the gap in the trees in the pic above.
From just through the Mckenzie Pass the view that the Old Rogue would have seen all those years ago when droving the sheep stolen from The Levels. The Dog at Burkes Pass gives many an incorrect story. Just behind where I stood is a Memorial stone in English, Gaelic and Maori commemorating McKenzies capture (he later escaped) by Sidebottom Taiko and Seventeen.
The Huka Falls.
The bridge over the Clutha River at Balclutha on SH1

Thanks to all for taking the time.

A great picture ,GD. I remember when I worked there that we would wake up in the morning of a spring day to that sort of a view, which was fantastic, then as a Stock agent once said, by 10oclock it was blowing a nor-west gale and it was just like any other bastard of a place!!
