I Survived 9/11

Today Adolf and The Cook flew from Venice to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Singapore and Singapore to Aucland. All together with transit times, about thirty two hours.

The high points of our journey were (a) brilliant service from restaurateurs in Nice and (b) an unexpected entertainement in Rome on the day before Pavarotti died - a look alike tenor with string quartet singing all the favorite Verdi and Mozart arias for us after dinner.

The low points (a) the death of one of our tour party who was hit by a car as she crossed the road in Rome. She looked the wrong way. (b) Abysmal performance of the Italian rugby team at Marseille.

More tomorrow when I wake up.
