ON JACINDA ARDERN

Lets be very clear about it.   JA is Labour's greatest asset.   She does empathy in spades and for a fair segment of the voting public she presents as a personable lady who is more sinned against than a sinner herself.    No matter the fluff over substance argument; no matter her injudicious rhetoric (2019 the year of Delivery).   Many voters will look past that. In short, National should be wary of and avoid attacking her personally.    Their focus has to be the package rather than the wrapping.

Tons of scope there.   As essentially mediocre Cabinet characterised by such luminaries as Phil (passion fingers) Twyford of Kiwibuild fame; the odious Iain Lees-Galloway and Stuart Nash, skewered on the 1,800 additional cops, promoter of a now revealed deeply flawed gun buy-back scheme and presiding over escalating gang violence out of control from a Party that promised decisive action on gangs.    A Winston First Party under SFO investigation led by an old age pensioner exhibiting increasing bizarre behavior and Shane Jones who consigns the Cabinet Manual to door-stop status.    A Green Party ditched its mojo and gone woke ... not me saying that, go to this Green Party supporting blog https://thedailyblog.co.nz/2020/02/16/whats-worse-green-party-denial-labour-party-tribalism-or-nzf-desperation.

Nah National ... shoot where the ducks are rather than wasting ammunition on JA.   There are ducks there aplenty and all waiting to be plucked.

Speaking of Ducks you overlook the Speaker facing defamation charges. He must be fair game too - and that does not include his blatant bias towards Ardern and her Ministers.

It is a strange concept, I grant you, but I'd like to see National campaign with some positive policies. Do you think they have it in them?

It does not speak highly of the National party strategists if they have only just discovered that Ya Boo Sucks childish name calling is counter productive and may go someway to explaining the parties poor performance on voting day when the grown ups vote.

Eh..didn't you spend a post trying to tarnish her response, or should that be no response to the Electrol Commission opinion.

Not a lot of defence of anything here Vet.

Lefties continue to abuse the messenger rather than debate the issues.
