LABOUR PARTY YOUTH CAMP SEX SCANDAL

Back in November it was reported that the police had dropped two charges against the young man accused of sexual assault at the Labour Party Youth Camp debacle leaving a further four charges of indecent assault involving four different complainants.    It was further reported the case was set down for trial in March.

Well, May is almost upon us and zip, zero, nothing.    Some of the more cynical might wonder if there has not been some cozy little deal negotiated by the accused lawyer leading to the complainants withdrawing their allegations ... cover-up at the start and cover-up now.

If someone knows of a more mundane reason for the delay then please let us know.

Yup...the police couldn't make a case and somebody realised that putting these kids through the mincer might do more harm than good.....at last, pay grade one thinking.

Your last post on the subject attracted 65 posts from the usual suspects who tried to make a big thing of it....there are some things that politics should be left out of, like the future of theses kids.

We live in the age of the "me too" movement Egbut

And the striking thing about the "me too" movements targets is that they are successful conversative generally white males

On the other hand people like William Jefferson Clinton and more recently Joe Biden seem to get a pass.

"C'est la vie"

Double standards in leftism is a feature not a bug I guess

I wonder how this might have played out if it occurred at an event sponsered by the young Nats

No need be speculative. Bridges said while it is before the Courts he had no comment to make.
Just wait for his musings.

The more relevant thing is that it's about men with power using that as leverage to fuck women who wouldn't otherwise be willing to fuck them. Which is both why it's generally successful white males who tend to cop the complaints, and why it's completely irrelevant to the subject of the OP.

They might. And if so, their evidence-free conspiracy theories will be given all the due consideration they deserve.

Poor old Andrei, can't wrap his head around that whole notion of consent. Probably stems back to his acceptance of some woman in a backwater of the Roman Empire being raped by some bloke calling himself "God" and telling her it was OK, she'd give birth to "The Messiah", then pissing off to leave her to raise the kid on her own and without benefit of the DPB.

"Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac" - Henry Kissenger

The sad thing for you is Milt is that for reasons with their roots deep in biology women seek out powerful men in order to advance their own interests.

It is an open secret many women are attracted to "bad boys" and it is well known that notorious criminals receive many letters from their groupies.

If you think that attractive women have not being using their sexual allure to advance their position in society since the stone age you are hopelessly deluded

And what you are probably totally oblivious to is that many of the most pwerful men in history were actually the front for a woman who was pulling his strings

Ghengis Khan was almost certainly ruled by Borte for example and would have never done what he did without her influence

Augustus was ruled by his wife Olivia

Henry II of England was ruled by his wife Elenor of Aquitane for a time, ruling most of France as well as England but when he fell out with her his realm fell into disarray and rebellion with his own sons fighting against him for years

There is a phrase "the power behind the throne" and that is usually a woman

We could go on but the realtionships between men and women are complicated and go well beyond mere slogans

So milt thinks rape is a white male issue. What a piece of work.

Johno: reading comprehension is clearly not your strong point.

And that makes it just completely impossible for a powerful man to use his power as leverage to get unwilling women to accept his advances! Blows the idea out of the water! Can't even be envisaged! We can just rule out the very idea, obviously...

Well obviously Milt some powerful men take advantage of women. But partial truth does not the whole truth make

And equally obviously some women take adavantage of men - ever heard the expression "gold digger" - How often have we seen wealthy older men with young wives who eventually divorce them and take them to the cleaners.

The sad truth is Hollywood is filled with hopeful young women with stars in their eyes working in menial jobs while seeking their big "break" which will never come - and more than a few are more than willing to trade their assets in order to try and advance their position. And for most that wont work out because there is lots of competition and very few of them have any real talent.

Here is a story from Australia where a woman accused her fiance of rape and after he was locked up moved her new boyfriend into the house they shared that he had bought for them to live in

Charming but such tales of predatory female behaviour just don't get the same attention as white males attract.

Scuzzy behaviour is just not limitied to white men Milt

Human beings are made up of two complimentary genders who by necessity need to make their way through life in this wicked world getting the best for themselves and their offspring as they do.

And the best bet for long term "happiness" is for a man and a woman to form a strong pair bond and work together co-operatively in getting through the challenges that life throws up.

This young Labour man has been mislead by a party that doesn't value traditional marriage, scoffs at courting rituals and seeks to deny gender difference - and when the hormones that drive reproductive behaviour kicked in he didn't have a clue how to go about winning a woman and screwed up royally

What a large number of replies to the subject almost all having no relevance to the question.
Must be some Labour trolls around.

Egbut ... you seem to be saying the Police have decided to withdraw the four remaining charges. Welcome your reference. If they have then they need to front up and say why.

Anon 9.41 ... threadjack again at your peril or, better still, start your own blog.

Johno said...

Good enough to get an advanced degree. You?
The thread's context is the alleged Labour party sex pest.

Psycho Milt said...

Good enough that I can reply to people's comments without making lying misrepresentations of them.

Lord Egbut Nobacon said...

Slightly off thread but as from today all rape and assault victims in England and Wales must be prepared to hand over their mobile phones to the police or risk having their case dismissed.

To many young men have been jailed for sexual assault and rape that later turned out to be a stitch up with ample evidence on phones that it was consensual.

The Veteran said...

Egbut ... so no reference then?

Anonymous said...

So, once again the victim gets fucked over. How about the accused handing over phones?

How is this any different from the way she was dressed or her prior sexual history?

David

Lord Egbut Nobacon said...

David....don't be so reactionary. Accused do have to hand over phones. So far three men have had their jail terms quashed when mobile phone evidence arose that had been kept from the defence.

Quite simple, common sense and moderation in everything.

Veteran...same applies to this case and highlighting a case that is sub judice just to score a political point is not being helpful to either party.

The Veteran said...

Egbut ... it can't be sub-judice if, as you said, the charges have been dropped or am I to assume you were just making that up?

And, if it's still going ahead we are entitled to ask why the delay ... justice delayed, justice denied ... and all of that.
