By the end of next year Huawei will be the biggest maufacturer of cell phones and communication equipment

So what does an "exceptional nation" do?>Huawei CFO arrested in Canada as US seeks extradition

I thought we were supposed to believe in free markets and free trade

No.....we are not supposed to believe in free markets and free trade. In all of human history there has always been a political trade off.

Especially when you are that size, have got there by stupid American policies that have destroyed their own manufacturing base, and appear to be breaking the trade sanctions against Iran,(allegedly) then you are biting the hand that feeds you.

Besides a company that size does nothing without the say so of the boss, the political masters in Beijing. I believe it is the daughter of the founder of the company too.

So Andrei Ergbut is correct... this isn't fee trade!

I don't know about you but it seriously concerns me that foreign nationals can be arrested in a nation where they are not resident and extradited to the USA to be tried in American courts for actions not commiyted on American soil and legal in the juristiction where they were allegedly committed

Furthermore when arrested party is CFO of a company that is a serous rival to an American company it would seem this has nothing to do with American Justice and Mom's apple pie but rather a desperate attempt to advance American commercial interests...

In other words it stinks

Andrei.....there is possibility that you are right but at the moment it is speculation.

Before anybody else wades in about free markets....a quick read on "favoured nation" status would be beneficial.

As the UK is finding out "Breaking up is hard to do"

Talking of breaking up is hard to do... I dont think Macron is finding it hard, seems to be doing it in his sleep.
Le Pen is now the top rating politician in France.
Is this the end of the globilisation dream by the elites in France, and putting Framce's energy policy back in the hands of the Russians (their gas to keep the lights on) or Saudi Arabia oil to avoid the "Energy Poverty" that is sure to follow "Green technology"
Does this mean a return to a sane energy policy?
Does this mean a return to a sane immigration policy?
Does this mean a return to a sane Brexit stance by the EU?

Does this mean you have stopped beating your wife Petrov?

The fact that you think France dictates the Brexit agenda means that you have no idea what you are talking about.......oh dear, back to wifebeating.

Petrov did you recognize me Ergybut ?
I have a new Russian wife... no need to beat her.
But I see you are still as slippery as a French answer any of my naughty French sausage
I see the Riots are to continue on Saturday, they have been stripping the speed cameras off the motorways, attacking the tax offices, the police chief in Paris has told his officers to join the riots.

And as you probably dont pay tax in France I think this quote must frighten your globalist instincts

""Looking at the picture it is clear these are no rent a mob but people far more dangerous to the Globalist establishment as they are the tax payers.!!

They want their country back and they will not stop until they get it.
Right from day one it was obvious it was about far more than fuel duty despite media pushing that narrative.""
