What A Fantastic International Effort

The discovery of thirteen young Thai soccer players stranded in a flooded cave system for ten days.

In this video grab by the Thai Navy Seals, the boys can be seen sitting on a wedge of dry ground above the flood waters. Picture: Thai Navy Seal via AP/.

Apparently they must be taught to dive before they can be rescued so they have been sent enough food supplies to last for four months.  I hope it doesn't take that long to teach them some diving skills.

The rescue operation included search and rescue personnel from Thailand, Britain, USA and Australia.  What was shaping up as a tragedy has become a triumph.

Well done.  In fact, bloody well done.

It's a big day over here. The international co-operation was heartening.
The cave went up and down below and above the flood waters from above.
Massive pump drainage helped.
PM Prayut moved quickly to assure International teams would be well rewarded and the effort was able to run 24 hours a day.
