Mrs Veteran and I are off tomorrow to play with crocodiles and eat exotic food and try and learn a new language.

Very limited blogging until we return at the end of the month.

May the budget be all you want it to be but I suspect not.

I trust you enjoy PNG. Goroka is a must. You need to keep your head at all times.

Adolf ... thank you for your advice. My junior class 'son' at Portsea was Kwargo Guria ... said his father was a 'subsistence agriculturalist' ... when I pressed him on that he said 'headhunter'. Kwargo threw the javelin clean out of the Portsea oval at the Portsea vs RAAF Academy athletics meeting. Quite impressive.

Make sure you keep your hands to yourself when playing with crocodiles, Vet otherwise you might return home without one. Have a great trip.

Enjoy the trip Vet - are you off to learn pidgin?

I worked for 3 or 4 days with a group of bank staff from Lae - listening to them converse in pidgin was fascinating but I never came to grips with it.

Why did I assume that you were off to Australia?
