Goodbye Google

Readers will be aware a number of major tech companies e g Google, Facebook, Twitter have moved towards what can only be called political censorship, whereby conservative comments are blocked and conservative sites harassed.

The latest episode concerning Google has prompted a potentially damaging action from an employee who was fired for expressing quite mild views which did not comply with the PC leftist group-think of the corporation.

Adolf is grateful for a commenter at Bloomberg who provided detail of an alternative search engine, duckduckgo.com.

Adolf will not be returning to Google nor does he use Facebook or Twitter.

Could you share the name of the search engine? I'm keen to find good alternatives.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh cannot find anything about right wing communications been deleted.

Every single conversation is going to be rated by a machine and the machine is going to say whether or not it’s a positive thing or a negative thing," Pierre told a Project Veritas undercover journalist on December 8, 2017. "And whether it’s positive or negative doesn’t (inaudible), it’s more like if somebody’s being aggressive or not. Right? Somebody’s just cursing at somebody, whatever, whatever. They may have point, but it will just vanish…. It’s not going to ban the mindset, it’s going to ban, like, a way of talking.”

Those claims were made about the Facebook algorithm.

Mind you if it keeps aggressive trolls off the pages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For years I had set Google as the home page on my browser, and had set up many other peoples' computers the same. It was fast loading, and had direct links to many other useful functions. Then...

Last month some genius at Google decided to incorporate an active content graphic on their home page (as they did sometimes to celebrate a special date), except in this case the graphic constantly used CPU resource just at idle. Morons.

I changed to DuckDuckGo, and haven't thought about changing back to Google as I can't trust their integrity any more. Their loss.

Noel, you'll have to do better than the appalling Snopes which is part of the problem.

Sigh! Back to that crap again.

Well, you do seem to wallow in it.

Those like Adolf who prefer living in the past will find duckduck suits their needs, it won't shock them with anything new.

The Macquarie Dictionary has just announced milkshake duck as its word of the year.

Searching duck gets no announcement.

Google is all over it and up to date.

I guess you can choose to be up to date or mired in the past.

Google is sooooo 2017.

For one who wallows in century old Marxism, your newfound love of 'the new' is bizarre.

Why is it that when Putin banned Twitter there was not a squeak of protest from this quarter.
Next question......Trump has clashed with, or insulted all major countries in the world (including Australia) name the country that seems to be invisible on his radar.

Andrei, he will stay on Blogger because like all good free market capitalists his ideals run out when he has to dip his hand in his own pocket.
