The bottom one a self portrait Adolf?

That explains why Socialists are so resistant to new ideas. Once you are over the event horizon, that's it.

You mean the moth Gerald?

Who says socialists are resistant to new ideas? Conservatives are the ones pining for things to go back to the golden age of the 1850s, and who resist every social advancement with every fibre of their corpulent beings. Tell me Mac”doctor”, what’s it like to be on the wrong side of history all the time?

Socialists have no ideas but old ones. They kill off anyone capable of original thought by way of the phenomenon invented by socialists, 'the purge.'

Good old CONservatives like Adolf and MacDoc are incapable of nuance. To them, everything is black or white, with us or against us, male or female. They are totally unable to distinguish socialism from communism from despotism. These things are not like each other.

Is it any wonder they worship the Manchild in The Oval Office and a god that perpetrated the biggest mass genocide in human history?

And of course all good socialists are incapable of anything other than nuance. Forever trying to distinguish socialism from communism when the former is merely a euphemism for the latter.

Is it any wonder they worship Stalin. Pol Pot, Guevara, Mao? That's a pretty big pile of corpses to climb over, even for a defrocked priest.

Like I said, Adolf, you cannot grasp anything other than black or white. To you a dog is a dog, you don't see the difference between the terrier and the hound.

Can probably excuse you as no doubt you have a huge case of SOL with the failure of Fantapants Fish 'N' Chips in Qld election.

Seigneur Bacon et Oeuf, first rule of this blog is do not attempt to show Adolf in anything other than a light beamed from Heaven Above. If he feels his halo slipping he will hit the delete button faster than you can type D-Day landings were the original ANTIFA.

Snowflake, I have visited the Nordic Nations and have seen the gulags operating there, I was fed a diet of R√łkt laks, fiskesuppe, sild, and gravlaks, all served by blonde long legged women in barely any uniform.

David & Co - the basic tenet of socialism is that no alternative view can possibly be permitted - hence ad-hominem attacks are de rigueur, however pointless they are to the argument. It continues to baffle me how otherwise apparently intelligent people can embrace a philosophy (that has been discredited in all of its attempts to date) lacking in reason and with no discussion permitted. However, the money always runs out, followed by a return to socialist principles, in yet another vain attempt to change the world. So, good luck with your faulty world view, but do try to remember where the money actually comes from.

As pointed out by others, that would be quite a surprise to the Nordic people. Socialism exists in many forms, including in democracies.

do try to remember where the money actually comes from.

It comes from the exertion of labour. There is no magic money tree, as much as the capitalists like to think there is.

That is the saddest misconception of socialism David - without the factory, there is no availability of labour. Someone, somewhere, on every occasion has to put up the money to create the factory. I have seen very few worker co-operatives in this area! As far as the Nordic area is concerned - what happens when the oil runs out and the capitalists move away? Sorry mate, without capitalism in the background, socialism cannot be funded. Reducing us all to the lowest common denominator, another apparent aim of socialism, seems to lead only to the Venezuela syndrome.

Is there anyone out there who can provide us with a reasoned justification of socialism - even Marx is full of anomalies.
