It has been revealed that the incoming government will have 28 ministers plus three under-secretaries ...  31 in all.    It's a record for the executive.

The outgoing National led government had 27 ministers and one under-secretary.

Remind me.   Wasn't NZ First the Party that wanted to reduce the number of MPs and limit the size of the executive?

Well they certainly reduced the number of their own MPs from twelve down to nine but, in doing so, managed to negotiate an increase in the size of the executive to provide jobs for over half of them.

I'll be charitable.    A 50% win/loss ratio in a coalition of the losers can't be all bad (snort).

Oh no and astronomical 10.7%.

Noel ... you in favour of that? One more ministerial salary albeit in the outer cabinet ($243,841)and two more PUS salaries ($189,707 each) plus three new ministerial houses required and we won't even mention the self drive cars and pray tell what has changed in terms of work load and all this signed up to by a Party that wanted to reduce the size of the House to 99 MPs and limit the size of the executive.

Clearly a case of watch what I do rather than listen to what I say.

NZF is disproportionately represented in Cabinet for the size of their share to the overall mandate. Everyone is a trougher. Have they named ctheir whips and the other sundry appointments that attract even more salary and perks.

They've already created the myth. No need go further.
Bit like the Masters Map showed the Primary and Secondary Ranch Hand target areas.
