What They Really Mean Is........

....... if we put up a paywall nobody will pay for the junk we print.

"Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading the Guardian than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. And unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can."

What they really know is that lefties, the only people who bother with the Guardian, are dead set lousy when it comes to spending their own money.   Especially when they've run out of other people's money.

Many thanks for advertising our newspaper. We pride ourselves on our non partisan coverage of the UK political scene. We are owned by a trust and not an individual whose views are expressed through ownership.

He gotcha that time Adolf.
That what happens when you resort to unsubstantiated generalizations.

Naaaaaaaah Noel

You missed his good old leftie tactic of arguing something not relevant - in this case ownership which I did not mention.

Any journo who claims to be non-partisan always is anything but.
