Friday's Fulminations

There is mild moderation.  Normal rules of blogger etiquette and courtesy to blog hosts will apply.with serious transgressors being thrown out.

Unfortunately our system does not allow your comments to show up in the blog post itself.  Just in the comments section.

Visitors might consider the wisdom of using moderate language.

Regards

The dear old Herald at it again, never letting the facts spoil a good story.

Todays article about the New Zealand participation in the Long Range desert group has mostly been lifted from Wiki...Lazy.

What it doesn't mention is that Bagnold initially went to the Australian division to recruit volunteers from the Queensland Battalions because of there hot weather and desert experience. Fortunately for our history and the LRDG he was rebuffed because Canberra had a policy not to put their men under direct command of the British.

One for troll Adolf........the Indian army supplied two patrols "M" and "S" the M stood for Muslim.
