Questions for the day

Were Donald Trump and former North Shore Cit mayor, Andrew Williams, separated at birth?

Has Donald Trump stopped beating his wife?

Too sad Nick. Try to feel better Nick. Conservative kick arse politics is here for the rest of your life.

Conservative kick arse politics, like this from a pro-Trumper on Kiwiblog today?

Fake news or too true for the MSM to report?

Hilary Is Obama’s Real Mother

[Breitbart : 5 March] Shocking news was uncovered today that Hilary Clinton was Barack Obama’s mother and the father was a Kenyan operating as a Soviet Agent. Breitbart investigative journalists found that when 13 year Hilary Clinton was attending a Young Socialists meeting in Nairobi in 1960. She fell under the spell and was impregnated by Barack Obama Sr., who was the speaker and a Soviet spy. The child was born by Hilary and given up in a secret adoption to Ann Dunham. To keep this secret from getting out Barack Obama Jr has been operating as a Russian mole his entire life. One of Obama’s last acts was to order a wiretap in Trump Tower to track Trumps movements for the Russians.

Feel free to be associated with them,Paul. For me, I'd rather live in reality.

That's the positive side of the who fiasco.
Few in New Zealand knew who Breitbart was.
Now for the informed its obviously and untrustworthy altra right wing publication.

Petrov Scott...You know not what you you comment about. You are paid minimum wage to write what you are told which is 100% tripe.

Paul .... Trump ain't a conservative that's for sure. He's Trump First and foremost. His association with politics and the GOP will end in tears and he will, by association, tarnish the conservative brand for years to come.

What an earth is a conservative "brand". That is just meaningless. A US conservative is the same as an extreme right wing UK conservative. An US left winger equals a UK Conservative. The degrees between Communism, socialism, social democrats, left wing and centre etc change, not only in every country, but in every decade. Every democratic country needs a socialist leaning govt every now and then just as it needs a conservative govt. now and then. Each cancels out the excesses of the other.

The rot starts when there is no opposition and a govt stays in power for twenty or thirty years......by that time it is to late to change and power has been consolidated into a few hands....Singapore for example.

In your world view all Labour parties are bad and should never, ever attain power unless they are exactly like the conservatives which defeats the objective. So you are condemned as anti democratic out of your own mouth and to sail the seven seas for ever and ever.

"Petrov Scott..."

As a matter of interest Egbut the usual East Slavic rendering of Paul is Pavel

And for Peter it would be Pyotr rather then Petrov

Saint Petersburg is commonly called Piter because its founder Пётр Вели́кий (Pyotr Velikiy) or Peter the Great to you was a westerniser and called the city he founded Санкт-Петербу́рг Sankt Peterburg which is German not Russian

Hope this helps

Egbut .... unlike you to go off half cocked. I was referring to the US where, in that context, the GOP is identified as conservative and the Democrats as small 'l' liberals .... mind you, I have met some Blue Dog Democrats who could just as easy sit on the Republican side in the House/Senate and vice versa. Trump ain't a conservative ... he's a populist demagogue who has highjacked the GOP on the back of voter discontent with the Washington establishment. He will crash and burn and in doing so he will damage the GOP and, by extension, their conservative brand. Nothing more and nothing less ... you have attempted to extrapolate that into some sort of world view of mine ... it isn't.

Trump is a fringe politician (as is Corbyn) ... fringe politicians are dangerous.

Veteran....An Alabama republican is a different animal than a Californian republican.

There is no "brand"

Corbyn a backbencher for 30 years who has never lost his Islington seat and has seen out six prime ministers is hardly fringe. He makes Trump look like a toddler.

30 years a backbencher and he has learned nothing.
A loser is still a loser.

Andy....Um, he has, rightly or wrongly been elected (twice) as leader of the a huge political machine that dwarfs anything that NZ or OZ can throw up.. I can't match that...can you?

Lord Egbut Nobacon

The Veteran said...

Egbut ... you still haven't got it but if it makes you happy I'll substitute Republican for conservatative ... there, fixed.

As for Corbyn and his 'huge' political machine is broken ... Copeland ...Copeland ... Copeland ... not to mention 24% nationally.

The Veteran said...

Egbut ... you're wrong on the size of the political machine too. Can't speak for Oz but in NZL and on a population adjusted basis the National Party m'ship is far ahead of UK Labour. Holding Islington for 30 years and crowing about it is a bit like NZ Labour congratulating themselves on retaining Mangere.

Veteran......stick to the point. A fringe politician he is not.

Veteran...nope, Joining he NZ Nats is free and this, as has been shown in the past, allows the Nats to inflate the numbers (see Bryce Edwards: Liberation). UK Labour party membership costs about $100 a year so numbers quoted are accurate Approx 600,000 because of accountability.. Name me one NZ MP who has held a seat for thirty years....Mabel Howard perhaps.

Lord Egbut

The Veteran said...

Egbut ... again, wrong, joining my Party ain't free, believe me, and Bryce Edwards is not an overly credible or disinterested commentator for you to hang your hat on.

Corbin is a fringe politician from and beholden to the hard left of his Party. Someone who writes columns for the Morning Star (Daily Worker) and who voted against his Party in government over 500 times is hardly mainstream. Holding a seat for life is hardly a virtue either.

Anonymous said...

No but when you count signed up supporters (free) as members it does blur the edges somewhat. Writing for the morning star is no different than writing for the Daily Telegraph which is owned by the Tory party. Many famous people have written or been quoted in both.....it is a part of the democratic free press or in the case of the Telegraph free to express the interests of a wealthy minority.

Interesting read on Corbyn here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Jeremy_Corbyn

He is way ahead on a united Ireland...it will happen in my life time pushed along by brexit.

Egbut ... final word. 'We don't count signed up supporters (who also pay dosh) as members. Membership gives you voting rights in candidate selection. Supporters don't get that.

As a self styled Lib-Dem you seem pretty resolute in defence of the indefensible and I guess you have the Tory Party cheering you on every step of the way ... not sue about mainstream Labour.

Anonymous said...

Not sure what that last sentence was all about. How does "self styled" and "Tory party" have to do with an opinion or in this case fact.

Lord Egbut

The Veteran said...

As a self styled Lib-Dem I find it strange that you are going into bat for 'him'. The Tory Party are backing him in the hope that he'll stay. They would be mad to do otherwise. Your opinion that Corbyn isn't a fringe poly is just that (albeit honestly held) but it ain't fact.
