Don't Be So Sure

Recently a number of the chattering class have been beating up the story that National will need NZ First to form a coalition in 2017.

These dopey buggers couldn't predict the weather next week, let alone an election result some six or seven months away.   There's a lot of water to pass and many unpredictable events to transpire before the election and anyone predicting electoral accommodations this far out simply is filling column inches with worthless junk.

I'll be very surprised if Peters gets anywhere near an accommodation.

At this stage, Roy Morgan appears to agree.

""National is well ahead of a potential Labour/Greens alliance 39% (down 0.5%) and in a position to retain Government with the support of minor party allies the Maori Party 2% (unchanged) and Act NZ 1% (up 0.5%) and without the support of the fourth largest party NZ First 8% (down 1%)."

I predict NZ First 15-18 %. English although he is a Co-Governanve wimp, is still a lot more NZ bloke than old slack jaw was. The combination of Andrew, Maori, Hone, Willie,
madmouth Morgan, maybe Hagers and Dotcrim is scary and will encourage people to 'safe spaces' ie National.
