INCENTIVISING CONVERSION TO CHRISTIANITY

I see that President Trump has announced here that Christian refugees will be afforded priority entry into the United States.

That may or may not be a good thing but can I suggest it will certainly lead to an upsurge of 'rice' Christians as defined here

Interesting times for refugees in the land of the free..

Well, President Golden Showers has to support those who supported him, the oh so persecuted Evangelicals in America who cry persecution any time they are expected to comply with US law.

Christians would be among the least persecuted people in the world. Muslims and atheists face far more persecution than the average xtian.

of course, xtians love being persecuted almost as much as they love persecuting others. To be persecuted, to be a martyr is the highest calling for xtians so there is no need to offer refuge to those who are fulfilling their religious mission.

David ... your TDS is well established. I guess your 'Golden Showers' epithet refers to the fact that he is committed to pissing over the Obama legacy in which case it's a compliment. Muslims and persecution ... well they've certainly supped well from the persecution cup. As far as atheists are concerned and some find it strange how they deny the existence of God but end up blaming 'him' for everything.

David said...

Vet, I have never blamed gods for anything, but their various followers have caused a lot of chaos and shit.

But back to President Pussy Grabber's desire to offer refuge to xtians, maybe he should look at the facts. The United States admitted a record number of 38,901 Muslim refugees in 2016, according to a study conducted by Pew. But nearly the same number of Christians, 37,521 were also admitted. Accepted according to need not creed.

Anyhoo, he's going to have a problem letting those xtian reffos into the US when he has or is going to ban immigration from majority Muslim nations, the very places where most of the persecuted xtians are.

Is there anyone in the Trumpanzee team with an IQ above a week old muffin?

He'll need that extra conservative on the Supreme Court sooner rather than later if he's going to take a shit on the Constitution like that.

Still, there's always an upside - maybe the US could take some of the South African religious fundamentalists we've been importing. All we need to do is start persecuting them.

@David, it's not so much that the Pendejo has banned immigration from Muslim nations, he has suspended refugee arrivals from places like Syria, Iran, Libya, Sudan, etc, places where Christians are being persecuted. So how is a Christian refugee supposed to claim asylum in the uStates?

It is also quite noteworthy that the Pendejo chose January 27, the UN International Holocaust Remembrance Day, as the day to slam the door shut in the faces of those most facing persecution.

The Whitehouse did release a statement to mark the day.

"It is with a heavy heart and sombre mind that we remember and honor the victims, survivors, heroes of the Holocaust. It is impossible to fully fathom the depravity and horror inflicted on innocent people by Nazi terror.

"Yet, we know that in the darkest hours of humanity, light shines the brightest.‎ As we remember those who died, we are deeply grateful to those who risked their lives to save the innocent.

"In the name of the perished, I pledge to do everything in my power throughout my Presidency, and my life, to ensure that the forces of evil never again defeat the powers of good. Together, we will make love and tolerance prevalent throughout the world."

Notice what is missing? No specific mention of those who suffered the most under the NAZIs - Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, and political opponents of the regime, pretty much the same groups that the Pendejo and his deplorables despise.

Never forget that the uStates turned away shiploads of Jewish refugees in 1939, sending them back to their deaths in Auschwitz.

This is the same thing the Pendejo will do to others fleeing persecution.

There is at least on uStates plotician who is prepared to call this for what it is.

“Tears are running down the cheeks of the Statue of Liberty tonight as a grand tradition of America, welcoming immigrants, that has existed since America was founded has been stomped upon,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said.

“Taking in immigrants and refugees is not only humanitarian but has also boosted our economy and created jobs decade after decade. This is one of the most backward and nasty executive orders that the president has issued.”

Banning Syrian refugees with the words "We have not forgotten the lessons of 9/11" really means he has forgotten everything.

Eleven of the twelve hijackers on that fateful day were Saudi Arabian which seems to be missing from the proscribed countries,,,strange.

Number of terrorist outrages committed by Syrians seeking safety.....Zero. Number of Jihadists mixing with the refugees turned into the German police, unknown but a lot.

Now if I were a terrorist trying to access the US from these countries I would say I'm a Christian because religion is not mentioned in passports and I'm sure a paper trail can be easy to forge. Have you noticed that Drumph is going after the easy targets the ones he can bully. Fair play to Mother Theresa, she tied him up in knots at the press conference and got him to roll back on waterboarding and NATO...PUBLICLY.

Veteran......Golden showers refer to the S+M practice of having someone, usually a woman, piss on you. The practise is very prevalent in men who have held power almost all of their lives......there exists a need to be dominated at times. Wonder if he is having wet dreams about Theresa May 'cos she was definitely running the show.

Jobson Growth ... I think a more balanced view might be that Trump hasn't banned immigration/refugees from Muslim countries. What he has done is to make it clear that people from those counties seeking entry into the US will have their credentials checked more stringently and further, that Christian minorities from those countries will be afforded preferred status.

Dollars to donuts and some 'progressive' law firm will challenge that decision. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I suspect that the policy stands until ruled unlawful ... any ruling will likely be appealed and resolution could take years.

Noel said...

Aw come on Obama at that point in his Presidency said Guantanamo would no longer exist.

"Progressive" here meaning "a law firm with a client who believes the US Constitution does actually mean something."

It seems that California is now going ahead on a ballot for secession in spite of Adolph's disparaging post saying good riddance to the celeb/snowflake/lefty/luvvies.

California is the sixth largest economy in the world, Larger than Italy and on a par with France.

US
China
Japan
Germany
UK
California

It is larger than all of Southern Africa, Australia and NZ combined. If an idiot like Drumph can be elected by the democratic principle it should be a piece of cake to secede if the will of the people so desireth. Putin must be doing the same little jig Hitler did in Paris.

You'd better explain just why the secession of California might damage the remaining USA. To do so will require some knowledge of economics so you might struggle.

To help you get a start, I suggest you find out (a) how much of California's GDP is derived from exports to other states of the US and (b) how much of California's GDP is reliant on federal funding currently.

Take your time and good luck.

Anonymous said...

I will try and keep a complex subject simple for you and it has nothing to do with exports or where they are destined and who said secession would damage the US...it is about sovereignty.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP)

The Gross Domestic Product measures the value of economic activity within a country. Strictly defined, GDP is the sum of the market values, or prices, of all final goods and services produced in an economy during a period of time. There are, however, three important distinctions within this seemingly simple definition:

GDP is a number that expresses the worth of the output of a country in local currency.
GDP tries to capture all final goods and services as long as they are produced within the country, thereby assuring that the final monetary value of everything that is created in a country is represented in the GDP.
GDP is calculated for a specific period of time, usually a year or a quarter of a year.

PM ... I'm not sure the US Constitution sez anything that would prohibit the Government from making rules about who can and who can't enter the US. The agency charged with this (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement ... part of the Department of Homeland Security) has been doing that for years. However the good ole US of A, being a litigious society, and I have no doubt that some-one, some-where, probably bankrolled by George Soros, will take it upon themselves to challenge any edict.

Egbut ... I think you are indulging in a flight of fancy to suggest that California might secede from the Union. Clearly you have not read the US Supreme Court 1869 decision White vs Texas. The Court ruled that states cannot unilaterally secede from the Union. Hell, if it were possible most of the 'Deep South' would have packed up and gone during the Obama administration.

David said...

Vet, the constitution may be silent on the issue, but try reading The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. Just one more law ignored by Trumplethinskin. This bans all immigration discrimination on national origin.

Trump has banned immigration from countries that are being, or have recently been, bombed by America. He has not banned immigration from Saudi Arabia, home of Whabbism, home to 19 of 21 9/11 terrorists. He has not banned immigration from Turkey, a once secular nation descending into Islamic fundamentalism.

Funny how Twittler has deep business interests in Turkey and Saudi.Maybe the people in the banned nations just need to build a tower and put Trump's name on it.

Trump is interested in two things only - self agrandism and self enrichment.

Pence and Mattis both condemned Twittlers muslim ban until they received their 30 pieces of silver. Now they applaud his every attack on deceny and humanity.

David

Why don't you give up while you are behind?

While you are recovering, try looking up the words 'banned' and 'suspended.' You'll be amazed at what you find.

The Veteran said...

David ... read the Act ... it doesn't do what you said it did. It's main component was to remove national origin quotas. Instead it created a seven-category preference system, which gave priority to relatives of U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents and to professionals and other individuals with specialized skills. That's different from banning discrimination based on national origin.

Adolf is on the money too pointing out the difference between banned (your descriptive) and suspended (actual). You will correct me if I'm wrong but I think the suspension is for 30 days while they reevaluate their vetting procedures.

Your posts would carry more weight if you didn't embellish them to make your point.

Psycho Milt said...

PM ... I'm not sure the US Constitution sez anything that would prohibit the Government from making rules about who can and who can't enter the US.

The Supreme Court's usually clear about the Constitution proscribing preferential treatment for Christians, also discrimination on the basis of religion generally. I guess that won't be a problem once the Narcissist in Chief appoints another Supreme Court judge, though.

Funny how Twittler has deep business interests in Turkey and Saudi.Maybe the people in the banned nations just need to build a tower and put Trump's name on it.

Yes. The ban's been applied only to those countries in which Trump has no business interests. The USA is into Third World territory now, with a leader running the country according to what will benefit him personally.

David said...

Banned or suspended, it will have the same effect on those who are denied sanctuary.

Vet, you declaim the acts ...main component was to remove national origin quotas. And what has Trumplethinskin done if not reinstated those quotas with the quota from 7 nations being zero?

Twittler's rule by presidential fiat shows how rapidly a nation can descend in to a fascist dictatorship. He is being cheered on by those whose mantra is "Ich bin nur nach Befehlen".

People who have already been subjected to extreme vetting and have passed are now being denied entry. Some will, no doubt, like the Jews of 1939, be sent back to a place where they will be jailed or executed.

And you cheer this on!

Laws are for the little people. Trump doesn't have to obey them if he doesn't feel like it. And 200 billion people attended his inauguration.

The Veteran said...

ban ... verb, officially or legally prohibit.

suspend ... verb, temporarily prevent from continuing or being in force or effect.

Spot the diff?

So if by your reasoning ban and suspend is interchangeable it follows that when President Obama banned oil drilling in parts of the Arctic and the Atlantic he didn't actually ban it but rather he suspended it ... nice to know.

David said...

Semantics, Vet. Semantics. As I said above, to those fleeing persecution, to those granted safe haven only to see it ripped from their fingers at the last moment, the length of the ban/suspension/whatever is not important. What is important is that they now face a return to the conditions they were fleeing, conditions often created by the Amerikka Twittler wants to Machen wieder groƟ.

In the 40 years to 2015, not a single American was killed on US soil by citizens from any of the seven countries targeted - Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen - according to research by the conservative-leaning Cato Institute.

But the same research shows that in the same period nearly 3000 Americans were killed by citizens of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Turkey — most victims of the September 11 attacks.

Trumplethinskin is a small minded, vindictive, hater.

Trump has succeeded bigly in making Amerikka hate again.

The Narcissist In Chief won't be appointing any more judges. He's too busy trying to talk people into paying him to make yet more boring, vacuous speeches.

David said...

More on the countries Trump excluded from his list, despite the fact that they are overwhelmingly Muslim majority, are exporters of terror and opponents of human rights.

In 2015, he registered eight hotel-related companies in Saudi Arabia, according to The Washington Post; in Turkey, two luxury towers in Istanbul are licensed to use his name; in Egypt, he has two companies; and in the UAE, he has naming and management deals for two golf courses.

President Pussy Grabber is only interested in anything that enriches him, he has fuck all concern for humanity. He is a nasty, malevolent dictator without a single redeeming feature. And you think we should still "give him time"?

At least on US federal judge has shown a better grasp of the law than the grasper in chief and his illadvisors and has placed a stay on the EO.

And it would be funny, if it wasn't so sad, that every time Trump is shown after signing an executive order he holds it up to the cameras, just like a 4 year old who has learned to use crayons.

Poor david was AWOL when Obama did exactly what Trump is doing.

I must have missed the bit where Obama banned wholesale the entry of people from those countries, including Green Card holders with valid visas, resulting in massive chaos at the country's airports - which is what would have been involved in him doing "exactly" what Trump is doing.

David said...

Milt, don't try to confuse Herr Fiinkensein with facts or logic. He has drunk too deeply from the cup of Baghdad Kellyanne Conway.

This is one of the rare occasions when Herr Fiinkensein has provided a link, a link that shows he did no more than read the headline. The very first para gives the lie to Adolf's alternative factoids.

The Department of Homeland Security today announced that it is continuing its implementation of the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015 with the addition of Libya, Somalia, and Yemen as three countries of concern, limiting Visa Waiver Program travel for certain individuals who have traveled to these countries. Emph mine.

No mention of a wholesale ban on people because of the country of citizenship or birth, but on those individuals who had travelled to those countries.

Adolf Fiinkensein said...

The only wholesale ban which anyone can see around here is your self imposed ban on intelligent thought, david.
