It is widely reported that the Labour hopeful in Philly's old seat was only Luke warm to the idiocy that is Light Rail in Auckland a year ago.

Now sharing a kerbside with the excuse for a leader it seems it could have been the road to Damascus and not Dominion Rd.

Led me to recall the old chestnut about the hooker who in response to a question would you service me for a grand, assented but when the offer was lowered to a tenner screeched what do you think I am.
Only to be flattened with "oh I think we have established that we are only arguing about the price."

Sadly it will fall to ratepayers and taxpayers who will be forced to pay for this latest act of seduction with opms and how much it costs will not even enter the debate.

Er, yes - transport infrastructure is paid for with taxpayers' money. Joyce didn't fund those Roads of National Significance out of his own bank account, and neither will any other NZ politician, ever. Do you consider that unusual?

A tram line to Mt Roskill ain't a Road of national Significance so dinna fash yersel'.

This seems to me to be a classic Tui Add. Yeah Right!! or in the words of the famous line from " The Castle" "Tell him he's dreaming"

Its incredible as to how they imagine putting a tramtrack down a busy street is going to clear the traffic congestion
