Housing Crisis Over

David Farrar has a most interesting graph up at Kiwiblog.

houseprices

Look at the last three years and what do you see?

A sharp decline in the rate ofprice increase with the distinct possibilty of a nil increase for 2016.

Just in time to give the Gnats a real boost for the election.   And all the while, Labour and its media lap dogs are banging on about their so called housing crisis.

Just like their manufacturing crisis and their dairy rises, eh?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha .........................................

I think we will find that the mind set, is set.
Perception is the King of voting power, and a graph is a graph.
The graph does not alter the magic figure of 1 million dollars.
It tells us mostly that Curia are polling massive public concern.
There is some talk that the friendly helmsman has ordered a reorganisation of Immigration. Again too late.
Since 1995 Auckland prices rose four times from about $230,000 to plus $900,000.
This is actually a relatively modest 5% increase p/a average [ my figures ]
Christchurch figures are for the same period a tree times rise from around $130,000 to $400,000.

My tweet on this issue

Overall prices in NZ are not the issue.

Its Auckland house prices that are the real concern.

The hand of a master propagandist at work. Fortunately, the master propagandist's readership mostly also reads the news and knows the actual situation.

Bit touchy today, Milt?

All that bloody work to create a hit job and suddenly it goes up in smoke.
