Friday's Fulminations

There is mild moderation.  Normal rules of blogger etiquette and courtesy to blog hosts will apply.with serious transgressors being thrown out.

Unfortunately our system does not allow your comments to show up in the blog post itself.  Just in the comments section.

Visitors might consider the wisdom of using moderate language.

Gerald let me help from how I see it.

Almost everyone with a nom de plume is anonymous in that the blog hosts do not know who they are. What the nom de plume does do is allow people following a thread on a post to track who is saying what. If there are even two or three anonymous contributors active on a thread it quickly becomes impossible to keep track of who is saying what - for want of a better phrase.

Today is International Blasphemy Day, so blaspheme and be free!

What's the difference between Jesus and a picture of Jesus?

It only takes one nail to hang the picture.

Very good David.

Don't normally read print media but browsed the paper in the surgery this morning while waiting to be relieved of an armful of blood. Two articles caught my eye ...

the first about a headmaster who, during the school holidays, used to rent out his MOE supplied school house and go and live in the school's sick-bay. Wonder if he retired a millionaire or was just a mean old fart.

the second a joke. Hillary and Donald had a bet as to who was the smartest. To prove the point Hillary ducked into a deli and snaffled up three cookies, put them into her handbag and left without paying. Turned to Donald and said 'made it, wasn't caught, proves I'm smart, beat that. Donald said 'I'll do better, I'll get three cookies, won't steal them and won't pay for them'. Walked into the deli, went up to the manager and said 'give me a cookie and I'll show you a trick'. Given one and he ate it, asked for another and ate that too and a third. The deli owner said 'Ok, what's the trick'. Donald said 'You'll find them in Hillary's handbag'.

had to chuckle.

Great day for Colin Craig. More than a million down the tube to Williams.

Further blasphemy for today:

If you wake up tomorrow morning thinking that saying a few Latin words over your pancakes is going to turn them into the body of Elvis Presley, you have lost your mind. But if you think more or less the same thing about a cracker and the body of Jesus, you are just a Catholic. -Sam Harris

Looks like Adolf's mancrush Trumplethinskin's goose is cooked. Florida is a must win state and the revelations of trumplethinskin's negotiations to break the Cuban embargo will not go well with the Cuban reffos. they have long memories and a visceral hate for anyone connected in any way with the Castro regime.

Trumplethinskin could resurrect Batista and make him his VP running mate but he would still be follada in Florida.

I feel quite sorry for Craig. From what I could read the whole case was a load of behaviour which in my office would be brushed aside. I wrote my poem on girl's legs about it over at the Craig post.
First we shoot all the lawyers. I never ever speak to accountants, distrust doctors,
and tell girls take it or leave it. Sometimes they take it, but they are not supposed to keep it.

You really have no idea what the case was about do you Paul.

Cheers for Don Brash and his "Hobson's Pledge" group.

A long overdue counter to the pressure of anti-white apartheidists, a group the gutless National Party has surrendered to year after year after year.

Brash and his mates have plenty to work with.

Just the tip of the iceberg.

Tariana Turia and the Money for Kermadecs mob sure as hell are giving him a great start.

This has the potential to end in tears for the Maori Party. Nobody, Maori or Pakeha, enjoys the unfettered right to fish ... it's all subject to quota anyway. The proposal affects both Maori and Pakeha equally and, as such, it does not discriminate against Maori per se.

Those in Maoridom arguing against the establishment of the sanctuary are not conservationists ... something I thought rated highly in Titanga. Instead they are revealed as both precious and greedy.

If I were the PM I would put the proposal on hold until after the next budget and then reintroduce the legislation and go to the country with it as a bottom line for coalition talks.

Probably tikanga.
Titanga has something to do with Hindus.
Don't thing they are claiming rights to the Kermadecs.
