AS THE EU REFERENDUM HEADS DOWN TO THE WIRE

the statements from both sides of the debate have become increasingly shrill and bizarre (including the 'curious' utterance from that nice Mr Corbyn that he is 70% for remaining in the EU).

From the 'Remain' side this statement from Donald Tusk, EU Council President, that a UK vote to leave the EU could threaten "Western political civilization".   Really?     Chicken Little rules OK.

And from the Brexit camp the claim here that recipients of EU funding covering farming, science and culture would continue to receive the same level of subsidy through until 2000.     Really?    With the UK 2015/16 Budget deficit now projected at 76b pounds that would mean increased borrowing (from the EU perhaps ... LOL).

One thing for certain.  GB won't the same whatever the result.
