from Macbeth
A dark Cave. In the middle, a Caldron boiling. Thunder.                Enter the three Witches.       1 WITCH.  Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.
       2 WITCH.  Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.
       3 WITCH.  Harpier cries:—'tis time! 'tis time!
       1 WITCH.  Round about the caldron go;
    In the poison'd entrails throw.—
    Toad, that under cold stone,
    Days and nights has thirty-one;
    Swelter'd venom sleeping got,
    Boil thou first i' the charmed pot!
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       2 WITCH.  Fillet of a fenny snake,
    In the caldron boil and bake;
    Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
    Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
    Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
    Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,—
    For a charm of powerful trouble,
    Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       3 WITCH.  Scale of dragon; tooth of wolf;
    Witches' mummy; maw and gulf
    Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark;
    Root of hemlock digg'd i the dark;
    Liver of blaspheming Jew;
    Gall of goat, and slips of yew
    Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;
    Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;
    Finger of birth-strangled babe
    Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,—
    Make the gruel thick and slab:
    Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
    For the ingrediants of our caldron.
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       2 WITCH.  Cool it with a baboon's blood,
    Then the charm is firm and good.

Seven morons, lead by a master dealer in stolen property that include six wannabe journalists have toiled in a bunker for weeks over reams of paper that were going to have John Key resigning last Tuesday only to have it  all turn to the pinch of goat poo the Panama (not to be confused with Venezuela) Papers always were.
The Herald  reports that  after a bunch of the IRD finest have combed the trawl and decided that there were only 200 Trusts registered in NZ and all were compliant in disclosure.
Add in the fact that NZ has extensive links sharing such disclosure with as many Overseas jurisdictions as wish such sharing and what has the very expensive often taxpayer subsidised media revealed. Well it appears only a lot of egg on face and we will never know if that egg was obtained from an organic source.

In the interests of a balanced unbiased professional media it is time for the government to seriously decide to put Radio New Zealand and TVNZ  on the block and force the morons who depend upon the taxpayer to fund their socialist inspired white anting to ply their trade in the real world where the Market will apportion success and reward.

Hagar The Horrible has again only confirmed his basis of KDS for all to see and the next round of polling should treat the disgusting and moronic socialist cabal with their deserved disdain.

Even the dumbest student who has enrolled in the plethora of subsidised journalistic courses whether failed or graduated, the decade of personal attacks on Key is right up there as a total tactical failure.

Hang about Will Shakespeare your writings are going to be acknowledged in the future where as the current creators of mythical entertainment will be forgotten tomorrow.

I've commented over at Kiwiblog that this episode makes a mockery of all those unsubstantiated allegations thrown at Cameron Slater.

There is only one word to describe Hagar and his gang of taxpayer funded enablers.

The Minister should be calling in the Chairmen of RNZ and TVNZ for a 'please explain and what are you going to do about it interview.

The trouble is it it always dangerous for the Government to get involved when "suggesting" any news organisation follows a particular policy. It has so many bad implications. While I personally would agree with an intervention in the current environment, how would I feel if the shoe was on the other foot? A Labour or Green Government instructing the media on policy. A clue to how it would be perceived (can we still use that word?) is seen in the fallout of the 2007 Electoral Finance Act. One of the most anti-democratic bills ever to be foisted on the NZ electorate, and which contributed in a big way to the eventual downfall of the Government which passed it. Interestingly, it was only the Green's who opposed it's dumping, one of the first actions of the new Government.

So my view regarding political bias in national news organisations is just to give them enough rope and they will hang themselves. We are already having the conversation, and it does not look good for the numpties so far (falling viewership and consequent lower advertising revenue, lower state contributions via budget allocation resulting in staff pruning). Just let nature take it's course to extinction, or at least endangered species status.

Most rabidly politic newspapers are obvious by their content.
There's favourites for left and right and for us apolitical people plenty of other choices.

No need for any interefernce to create more bias.

Please show me where there was a conviction.

I think you may struggle.

Great respost AF, I understand that a discharge without conviction, the final outcome for Cameron's charges as outlined in the fairly comprehensive 'mea culpa' he published on whaleoil, includes a defacto guilty plea, some evidence of remorse and often some claim that the conviction could lead to a degree of injustice when repercussions are weighed against the degree of offending, and if that is the courts decision there is nothing, zilch, nada, on his record.

Not so for Ratchinger who is defending his charges and in the light of the courts decision re Cam Slater it could be a slam dunk, oops.
That Ben Ratchinger claimed falsely to have information and an ability to get more while begging Slater for understanding and money as an employee was appalling use of a very seriously sad back story.

Not too hard for an independent commenter to understand how Mr Slater was led into the shemozzle by the manipulative Ratchinger considering the enormous pressures "Rawshark" brought to the table and a quite reasonable level of desire to discover who Rawshark was and attempt to wreak revenge
None of subsequent actions have diminished the despicable nature of Hagar's use of the stolen emails to pursue Whaleoil in the unseemly and hypocritical, albeit extremely selective beatup for political purposes, in his solution to Venezuela's toilet tissue crisis.

On reflection, I think your comment may well be defamatory and, accordingly, I'm taking the unusual action of deleting both you and your comment from GD's blog.

Don't bother coming over to my blog with your lies and innuendo.

That's not an unusual step Flink. You wield the typo stick with the enthusiasm of a slightly demented East European conducting the Flight of the bumble bee.

I would like to see Gerald's comment and make my own mind up. I hope he didn't refer to you as Sturmbannfuhrer........I wont have the SS brought into disrepute.

Noel that can't be right because if it had gone ahead it would have been as immoral as Hager and Rawshark.

Of course, you are an authority on demented East Europeans.
