Hide The Decline

The latest Roy Morgan poll shows National support has fallen but that doesn't matter much.  The real zinger in this poll is Labour's continued decline to a paltry 26%.

Of the three Parliamentary Opposition parties - Labour’s support is now at 26% (down 2%),

Unfortunately for Labour they can't cook the data the way climate alarmists do.

Yes its only one poll but it is the one that Labour swears by.

The next TV1 and TV3 polls will be interesting.

Headlined in a post at "The Standard " as "latest Roy Morgan, National Plunges" ???

Not mentioned at the other Sewerage Treatment Plant where Martyn/Martyn makes shit up.

Cant find any preferred PM, does Morgan do that or does Gary feel too sorry for The Little Leader in waiting, waiting, waiting.

The correlation between the 3.5 swing, Nats to Winston reflects what some of the growing discontent with Keys recent deliveries that come up on my Radar indicate.

Here is April's One News poll: http://www.curia.co.nz/2016/04/one-news-colmar-brunton-poll-april-2016/

As always with polls, it is the trend that matters. One-offs don't mean much.

It should matter quite a lot to a party lacking coalition partners, I would have thought. They can continue doing dodgy deals to ensure they get Ohariu and Epsom without it counting towards their party vote share, and the Maori Party will support them as long as its MPs get appropriate "baubles of office." But that's only four MPs, maybe less if Maori dissatisfaction with the Maori Party selling them out for use of a limousine continues. I'd anticipate Key finding retirement suddenly looking very attractive if the alternative is persuading Winston First to prop up his government.
