IF IT WASN'T SO SERIOUS IT WOULD BE FUNNY

This from the North Korean KNCA News Agency in response to the annual US/South Korean military exercises now underway on the east coast of South Korea .....

'The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK holding tightly the arms to annihilate the enemies with towering hatred for them are waiting for a dignified Supreme Command to issue an order for a preemptive (nuclear?) strike for justice'.

At the same time it is reported that the North Koreans have been searching for one of its submarines gone missing off its east coast.

North Korea is so unpredictable and so volatile that anything could happen.   I suspect it's only China that's holding them back.    Without China the DPRK is nothing.

TRUMP I'll fix it.

Doesn't matter how how tightly revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK hold on to their arms when the UGM-133As hit home!

Aw North Koreas bellicose rhetoric has been subject to much evaluation since the new guy appeared.

"North Korea is so unpredictable and so volatile that anything could happen."

Nah you are reading to much into what is simply a statement for domestic consumption.

Look up any photos of the new guy and always in shot are the scribes with pencil and pads.

Noel ...at some point the rhetoric must be matched with action least 'he' be seen as a toothless tiger ... you well know that in oriental society 'face' is everything and Kim cannot afford to loose face.

What ... a SLBM off a barge?

Kim knows that doing something really stupid will see him orbiting the earth with other pulverized rubbish. Even a moron like him is not stupid enough to die for the lost cause.

Noel ... no, but an attack on say a South Korean warship (done before ... ROKS Cheonan torpeoded on 26 Mar 2010) could be on the cards if they assess that such action would be unlikely to escalate into full blown conflict. Not sure however that would necessarily be the case this time round. The patience of Russia and China must be wearing thin with their enfant terrible and you well know that a person with their back to the wall is liable to lash out on the basis that things cannot possibly get worse ... they can.

Sanctions have been imposed by US, South Korea and now the UN.

Mar. 11, 2016
North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un orders country to conduct more nuclear tests in violation of UN resolutions after United States and South Korea begin annual large-scale joint military exercises.

Mar. 10, 2016
South Korean military announces North Korea launched two ballistic missiles, possibly Scuds, into sea between Koreas and Japan, in violation of United Nations resolutions.

CCCTV Reports Aust/NZ personnel a part of the exercises.
Nice if Kim not to include us in his threat.

What sort of idiot remark is that first post. Oh that's right, it's Mr Anon advocating a pre-emptive nuclear strike. That is the worrying thing about Trump supporters, they actually believe their leader. A bit like the Nth Korean worker drones.

70 rusty 1960 diesel submarines of which only 30 are serviceable at any one time do not a navy make.

Any why not?

“What good does it do to have a good nuclear triad if you're afraid to use it?”:

it just takes one and Seoul ceases to exist. The US needs to nuke somewhere every 10 years or so. I'd put the Norks top of the list.

Slowly getting your number Mr Angry.......you are a troll with a Walter Mitty complex probably under the age of 20. If you wonder why so little notice is taken of your rantings then you only have to look in a mirror.

OK so they tow a barge up the river to the center of Seoul and blow it up?
Get real.

Anon 11.24 ... the Seoul River is more like a small creek and couple of feet deep with waterfalls. Towing a barge up it would test the military genius of 'Dear Leader'.

Egbut 8.22 ... you've got it in spades. The infantile ramblings of those who think the answer is to 'Nuke' your opponents with a preemptive strike is Dr Strangelove material indeed.

Gee - Nuking commies is what won WW2 and what would have won Vietnam, Korea, Iran, Iraq, and in fact stopped the Cold War before it started.

It was commies and us what won WW2. Cat got your brain?
