ALL IN AID OF A JACKIE CHAN MOVIE ... FILMED ON LAMBETH BRIDGE

 horrific 7/7 London bombings

Crass, insensitive. stupid.     Some Londoners thought they were witnessing a terror attack chillingly similar to the bombings that took place across the capital on 7 July 2005 killing 52 people.

Whoever signed off on this needs their head read.

Just a media beat up Veteran. Bridge was closed, notices up all businesses in the area warned, notices in lifts. My mate told me they were six deep on the balconies of Thames house (MI5 HQ) overlooking the bridge waiting for the bang, James Bond et al.

What you can't stop is Mr and Mrs "Disgusted from Tunbridge Wells" complaining to the Guardian. I wonder if they complained about Steve Mcqueens dangerous driving in San Fran. (Bullet).

The people behind the film will love the all fuss made by the prim Lord Egbut

Great publicity for their movie

"Fuss"? I couldn't give a toss, Making way for film crews comes with the territory here.

So far I've been forbidden to access my PO box in Lyttleton because Jackson turned the PO into cafe for the "Frighteners". Barred access to my bank in Gloucester because they were doing Harry Potter and blocked the Cathedral grounds. Barred access to my favourite pub because they were filming Little Lord Fauntleroy and stopped on a B road by a copper for half an hour because that wanker Clarkson was chasing foxes in a 4x4.

Egbut ... (1) I hardly think not being able to get into your bank equates to this. (2) The comment was made by a parent of one of the victims of the London bombings. (3) I cannot imagine the Americans ever approving the crashing of a remotely controlled ac into a disused building in the Big Apple.

There are dividing lines and I think they crossed one. Clearly you disagree.

That's because the the US use animation instead of taking out real estate. Once you start thinking along those lines the bad guys have won.

People need to be reminded that we are at war. Because the CiA, NSA, MI5, etc have done a pretty good job, there haven't been many attacks in the UK (unlike in the US)

So frankly this is all good at raising awareness.

Or would you rather real attacks with more real casualties?

Tell me again, in which country does the NSA and CIA operate?

everywhere. My favourites were Iran in '53, Cuba in '61, Oz in '75. I wish they'd done more in Oz & NZ in '51 though.
