They Printed The Police Association Press Release

Today there was a march by South Australian police officers and their supporters, protesting Labor inspired adverse changes to compensation for officers injured in the line of duty.

Here's he first para in the Adelaide Advertiser:-

SEVERAL thousand police officers, their families and supporters have taken to the streets in a protest march at the provisions affecting them under the State Government’s new workers compensation legislation.

Only one problem.

Adolf and The Cook were enjoying a superb lunch in the Argentinian restaurant (La Boca) across the road from Parliament house.

I did a paddock tally of the crowd - guaranteed to  be 95% accurate.

There were between 400 and 450 protesters, nowhere near one thousand, let alone several thousand.

Still, 400 is an impressive turnout.
