JEREMY CORBYN CERTAINLY SURROUNDS HIMSELF WITH 'STRANGE' PEOPLE - OR PERHAPS NOT

UK politics has always fascinated me.    The dynamic is much more pronounced compared with NZL.

And so it is that the spectacle of the Labour Party tearing itself to shreds following the election of Corbyn as leader is a sight to behold ... the campaign to rid itself of the so called Blairites in the Party is gathering pace in scenes not too far removed from the Stalinist show trials of the 1930s or perhaps, more recently, in the purge of senior members of the North Korean Workers Party for not showing sufficient subservience to Kim Jong-Eun.

And now the news that Andrew Fisher, Jememy Corbyn's newly appointed Policy Adviser, has been forced to 'publicly and unreservedly' apologize to the Labour Party for the tweet he sent to people in the Croydon South constituency at the time of the general election urging them to switch their votes from Labour to the Class War Party.   For the record the seat was won by the Conservatives with a majority of 17,140 over Labour with the Class War Party represented by a Mr Jonathon Bugger Bigger polling last with just 68 votes.

It does demonstrate a certain mind-set and a desire by Corbyn to fight the next election on ground of his own choosing .... in this case the 1920s and 30s.    All power to him.

And which one of the list do you disagree with?

What he stands for:

Ending austerity
Protecting workers' rights
Blocking welfare cuts
Scrapping tuition fees
Creating a National Education Service (like the NHS for healthcare)
Ensuring the NHS is completely publicly run
Renationalising railways and utilities
Abolishing Trident
Withdrawing from Nato
Introducing rent controls in unaffordable areas
Investing more in the arts

"I don't do personal, I don't do reaction, I don't do abuse. Life is too short and it devalues the political process. I think we should try and enhance the democratic life of this country, not reduce it to that level"

Yep ... we all know he stands for motherhood and apple pie paid for by all those 'rick pricks' out there and totally secure in the knowledge that the UK is an island fortress (much like Singapore) and that her enemies aren't very good at flying planes because they are mostly shortsighted .... sigh.

I'll give him his due though ... he does actually stand for all these things (and a few more that it's not 'politik' to let on about). Problem is that it's all a bit like Walter Nash's assessment of Social Credit ... if it works no-one else will have to.

As for the last bit ... Bill Rowling to a fault ... and you know what happened to him.

Fortress UK!!!!!! Where do you get these ideas. He wants to stay in the EU which of course means the Tories are now talking about a Brexit.
