FOR THE THIRD TIME OF ASKING

I pleaded with 'them' not to roll Shearer but no-one listened.   I pleaded with them for Cunliffe to stay but no-one listened and now, for the third time of asking, I plead yet again for Little to remain as Labour Party leader through to the next election (and beyond hopefully) ... let those who have ears etc.

Ok, so he projects as a small man with small man syndrome.   I don't mind that he comes across as perpetually angry.   I start to worry when he demonstrates more positions on free trade than the Kama Sutra.    I am embarrassed at his attempt to do a Winston Peters by blaming the so called Auckland housing crisis on people with Chinese sounding names.   I am concerned that (albeit through ignorance) he insults our largest trading nation while visiting their capital.    In short, he makes Shearer (and even Cunliffe) look good.

I agree with those who say that when you elect a leader by a poll of the ignorant you shouldn't be surprised if you end up with a lemon.   What we do know from the voting is that Little had little support among his peers.   They knew him then, they know him now ... they know he's a lemon but the reality is that they can't afford to cut him loose ... I hope.

I wonder if there's anything more boring than a gloating, smug, complacent tory fanboy slagging of his political opponents with trute abuse. I suspect not.

Howie ... trite, young fella, trite ... learn to spell. Abuse or telling it how it is?
Ok, truth hurts, understand that. But your poster boy really needs to smarten up his act.

Funny you know but these guys are like peas in a pod. Same system gave the ALP Shorten who, like Howie, struggles to find two brain cells to rub together.

In the same way that you yourself are like an unpleasant, unsophisticated version of that fabulous loser Tony Abott (with added blubber and liver spots, naturally).

Howie ... lay of the personal stuff pse or you and I are going to have a 'come to Jesus' talk.

It's all right when your chums, like Adolf, hurl mindless (and I do mean mindless) abuse, but a retort results in a stern warning. How does that work?

Howie ... I would prefer Adolf to tone down his rhetoric but, I don't control him. Actually it's his blog and I'm only a contributor. But I do object to the ageism stuff. I've met many 40YO going on 70 and many 70YO going on 40. I prefer to think of myself in the latter category.

Visit the Standard and you will see viscous personal abuse directed at John Key on a daily basis and lets not even go near Bradbury's cesspit. Try and respond there and you don't get past first base. I'll give people a relatively free hand to respond to my musings but I draw the line at been called a liar and personal abuse leaves me cold.

You're selling yourself short there. The sophistication of your arguments is akin to that of someone much, much younger.

"Visit the Standard and you will see viscous (sic) personal abuse directed at John Key on a daily basis."

Good to know what you're attempting to emulate. Very illuminating.

Point taken but it is NOT my blog. I just happen to be one of the originals. Your blog is your blog and my blog is mine. Nobody 'owns' Nominister. We are all genuine equals among equals.

Personal abuse is one thing but reflecting on a persons physical appearance in a scornful manner in order to belittle (No pun) his views or origins is actually illegal in some countries and is the sign of a weak argument.

Some of the horizontally challenged people in history are Napoleon Bonaparte, Lord Nelson and Gandhi. I always thought the old Kiwi standard of fairplay and a well developed sense of justice would prevail on blogs like this but sadly it seems to be going the way of the country.

Does horizontally challenged mean skinny or fat? They were all vertically challenged.

Perhaps I meant line of sight from the horizon, then again I could have had a senior moment but thank you pointing it out.

Folks ... I'll tell it how I see it and that's how I (and many others) see Little. A perpetually angry man. He really needs to lighten up.

As for all those other things I pointed to and any criticism is of his own making ... he fired the shots; the fact he was aiming at his foot is not my fault.

Nah, not attempting to emulate the Standard or the Daily Blog ... just pointing out that unless you parrot your agreement with the party line your comment is unlikely to see the light of day.

Well that's the meme that whoever has replaced Jason Ede has decided to run with, so you'll just go with that won't you? You could at least try to be original in your abuse, but that would require some effort on your part.

Howie ... fine by me (really mean that). If Little wants to maintain that persona then all I can say is go2it. If he wants to do a Walter Nash in respect of free trade then who am I to argue against that. The Chinese names bit was dirty pool though (and an own goal which led to the likes of Matt Te Pou quitting Labour) but again, who am I to complain. As to not knowing that Beijing has a developed rapid transport system ... OK, so he doesn't read his briefing book ... got that in common with Winston Peters.

In case you'd forgotten ... this post was all about my hope that Little would stay on as Labour Party leader.

The persona has been established and maintained by the hacks in the PM's office, and you're just doing repeating it endlessly because you can't, or aren't allowed to, think up your own mindless, adolescent abuse. Plus it means you don't have to think about things that actually matter, like the government wiping hundreds of thousand off of hospital waiting lists and lying about it, or Coleman caving to the sugar lobbyists.

Yeah Howie ... whatever rings your bell. Happy daze. This thread has now run its course.
