More Herald Horseshit

Here's the headline:

Real estate insider: 90 per cent of Auckland properties sold to overseas Chinese in May

And here's the unsensational reality from the article itself:

"Mainland Chinese money snapped up at least 80 per cent of residential sales in parts of Auckland in March but were nearer 90 per cent in May, a whistle blower from the industry says.
Unmitigated scurrilous trash from a disgraceful newspaper.

Is it any wonder nobody trusts the news media to tell the truth about anything

You have evidence to dispute that claim?
Please provide.

Noel I'm not quite sure to which 'claim,' you refer.

The post compared the completely untruthful headline with the equally uninteresting story which bore no resemblance to the headline.

Parts of Auckland ain't all of Auckland. I doubt many Chingalings would be buying up Papakura, Otara or Papatoetoe. The figures used may well be those for Howick where 90% of vendors also likely would be ethnic Chinese.

Don't worry little petals. When the Chinese stock market settles those little slantyeyes will sell their Auckland houses and take their money back home.

Meanwhile your poor little darlings will just have to buy something in Helensville.
