Just Ask Your Friendly Shop Steward

Australian unions have always been tough bastards, often bad bastards and sometimes evil bastards.

Today we see the worst of all, the union which shafted its members in return for massive bribes from the bosses.  The AWU is a union run by treacherous bastards.

"......the agreement was originally made between the parties in 2004. The current Opposition Leader signed that document.

Clause 8.2 of the 2004 deal allows the employer to offer full-time cleaners low yearly salaries (starting at $33,854) that exclude payment for all shift, weekend and public holiday penalties and loading, include up to seven hours of unpaid overtime a week, and up to 12-hour shifts."
No wonder nobody wants to join a union.   These guys were deprived of penalty rates of $25/hour which saved the bosses a cool $2mil per year.  And who did it?  Their union, led by Bill Shorten.

Maybe a little investigation of some of Andrew Little's 'deals' might by interesting.
