To Malcolm Paul Evans.

To Malcolm Paul Evans of Auckland and late of the NZ Herald.

While you have every right to create and have published, your rather unsavory efforts that all too often have me incensed rather than interested, I equally have the right to send you a white feather.

Particularly after your latest pathetic distortion of what the Prime Minister is attempting to do on our behalf as a response to the totally depraved machinations of ISIS and their murderous efforts given far too much oxygen by fifth columnists such as yourself.

By all means give comfort to the enemy, sadly that freedom to be a total c*^t is a central plank of our democracy and one which completely escapes the understanding of the humorless bastards who would have your head perched on your chest in a pool of your blood in an instant.

To portray Mr Key's efforts to stand up to those who murder those who go among them to do humanitarian work, attempt to report on what is actually happening and fellow believers who in the distorted minds of the followers of ISIS are not sufficiently devout or selective in their faith is an abomination.
To portray those sent to assist those who would fight the total wrong that is The Islamic State attempting to create a Caliphate in Iraq, Syria and The Levant by our lawful and democratically elected government, as fallen soldiers returning to our country in flag draped coffins is beyond the pale.

Respectfully Murray Roxburgh Akaroa.

Why? Is it wrong to mention consequences when the PM wants to get his war on?

Because Rex, Key has only suggested sending our troops to train Iraqi troops as a support measure to the ADF.

If you consider that is equal to a declaration of war Rex you go and have a beer with Evans, you deserve each other.
In the meantime I'll see if there is another feather in the chook house for you.

OK, so no one's going in harm's way then. So why do you say this?...

"I'll see if there is another feather in the chook house for you."

Unless you're volunteering to go yourself, better get one of your very own while you're about it, chickenhawk.

For a sense of balance, let's remember the price of NOT being in John Key's "club". Thousands of dead men, women and children - killed because they are of another faith. Thousands of women and girls dragged off into sex slavery without hope of rescue. Children being "married" off to "men" as rewards for butchery.

Then find yourself a Kiwi soldier and ask him or her what they think about ISIS. You are likely to get a response along the lines of "why the hell are we going there just to TEACH? Let's kill the f---ers!"

Hi Rex ... on behalf of the Islamic State can we thank you for your support ... clearly you acknowledge that what we are fighting for is right ... the right to impose Sharia law regardless of the wishes of the people; the right to take hostages, the right to behead; the right to burn people alive; the right to deny females education; the right to kill all infidels ... the list goes on and on and ...

And you're right to highlight the consequences that could result from New Zealand involvement although perhaps some might argue that goes with the territory when you stand with your allies against those who seek to pervert Islam to their own ends.

Whatever, thank you and may the blessings of Allah shower down upon you.

p.s. ever thought about volunteering to be a suicide bomber ... 77 virgins await.

Phew, talk about hysterical shrieking. You're right, John Key is infallible and if you're not for him you're an Islamic terrorist who kills children for fun.

PS, what's the exit strategy this time?

The Veteran said...

Rex ... naaah. Just pointing out that when you say no way you are washing your hands of the problem and relying on others to carry the can. Saying no is the easy way out too ... saying yes is the harder call. Clearly JK is prepared to make the hard calls.

As for the exit strategy ... not too difficult for a training team. Pick up and go.

Sending a training team is wimping out and letting others carry the can. You're letting the terrorists win, and showing your support for the murderous ISIS. I thought you had respect for human rights. And if so, when are we going to Nigeria, North Korea, Ukraine, Turkmenistan.... Given you're all about the rights and all.

If you nuke a desert area is the result some usable glass? Or perhaps a nice tourist attraction once the radiation dissipates?

"PS, what's the exit strategy this time?"

Good question. One answer still a long way down the road of appeasement and half arsed measures against worldwide terrorism may well be..

“You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.”

Rex ... remind me, just when was it that "Nigeria, North Korea, Ukraine, Turkmenistan" requested the NZL government to provide military assistance.

Or perhaps I've got it completely wrong ... you want NZL to invade North Korea?

Your words keep tumbling out but have to say you're not making a lot of sense. Guess that goes with the territory.

One thing's for sure. Jordan and the West better not expect Barak 'get off your high horse' Obama's cavalry to come riding to the rescue any time soon.

No one will ever die not knowing whose mast he has pinned his colours to.

"remind me, just when was it that "Nigeria, North Korea, Ukraine, Turkmenistan" requested the NZL government to provide military assistance."

What's that got to do with the human rights you so passionately wish to defend?

JC has admitted there is no exit strategy, he just wants to get in there and do some killin' (well not him personally, that would be dangerous. Other people).

Rex ... you raised the Nigeria bit not I (or don't you remember).

The PM hasn't admitted there is not exit strategy so stop telling lies. As I said and with a training team it's not a major ... case of get up and go.

Bit different when your commitment is 'boots in a combat roll'.

Look, you are either for or against ISIS and Islamic terrorism. I know here I stand and I suspect I know where you stand. Harsh condemnation over a drop of chardonnay and a greater condemnation of John Key for walking the walk.

"Look, you are either for or against ISIS and Islamic terrorism."

What's that got to do with your concern for human rights? Or do you only care of the human rights of those humans John Key is suddenly wildly concerned about for some reason?

You appear unable to string a coherent argument together (although you're good at silly slogans). I'm not sure if you're being lazy or if you're just really really dumb. Perhaps you work for the National Party in some capacity?

GD's post was all about ISIS and Islamic terrorism ... YOU started the human rights bit by suggesting that if John Key were to be consistent then NZL should look at invading North Korea ... now that's REALLY dumb. Perhaps you work for the Labour Party in some capacity?

My final contribution.
