Good Riddance.

While we as a Nation hold to a law that says a Life Sentence does not mean life but whatever the formula  is currently, POS such as Smith/Traynor will eventually be released into our midst.

So long as we allow nonsense around personal privacy to prevail over what was once common sense, very clever and manipulative bastards with time on their hands will take advantage.

While the people who were feeling at risk from the convicted killer and kiddy fiddler when Corrections lost him with no idea of his  location, were suffering additional stress and helplessness, it now seems he was long gone to South America.

Unless those who would rule us see that this imminently avoidable mess as easily fixable, it will happen again.

In the meantime, that the POS is gone and unless he is terminally stupid will never return, leaving our shores while the Parole Board and Corrections are muddling their next move as his release looms as the only option, perhaps his leaving in breach of his temporary release conditions is a bonus.

Of course had he been an actual dog his life would have ended in Wellington 19 years ago on a veterinary table.

***Roll

My bad...

How careless of me...

I got that wrong,
but then again,
I'm not the bloke who put a murdering paedo on the street with-out a tracker device

The passport needs to be cancelled so he can never return here, and then he would also have trouble moving from country to country unless he has a second one in a different name.

I think the Chileans might have something to say about us letting murdering paedos in-to their counrty Chris

The Brazilians too

GD I agree this situation is far from ideal.

We (the people of NZ) should be encouraging scum to piss off overseas - particularly if, like Traynor, they pay for it themselves.

Personally I'd make the bastards walk.

What we must ensure, of course, is that they never return

Where are the Ministers in-charge of in all this???

Gutless wonders are all holed-up in their foxholes I bet... while they send out their deputies to cop all the flack and clean up this mess...

{Puke}

Banana Republic yet???

In the spirit of reducing taxpayers costs, Corrections NZ should contract out the storage of these longer term bad boys to Indonesia. There'd be a large saving in the corrections budget and none of these 'oops sorry' episodes.

Might even give the bad boys a new perspective and respect for life.

Or we could stop treating paedo's like a protected species in prison and put em in with the gangstas...

Problem solved...
