Masssive Hike in Migrant Numbers

New Zealand is on the verge of recieving a massive boost in the number of economic migrants seeking relief from rampant unemployment ........ Australia.

Not front page news yet but the writing is well and truly on the wall. Most of Australia's recent prosperity has been based upon the sale of coal and iron ore to China.

Now get this.

The Chinese government is to limit the use of imported coal with more than 16 per cent ash and 3 per cent sulphur from January 1, 2015 in a bid to improve air quality, especially in cities such as Beijing and around Shanghai.
And in which category do you think falls most of Australia's coal?

Spot on.

This Kiwi saw the writing on the wall 8 months ago and came home.
A lot of the mines construction phase is complete or nearing completion. Add high automation, less demand, and economy of scale(ya really gotta see the size) it's on another level.
No dole for Kiwis in Australia.
A contracting global economy.
It's a recipe to get hurt if you're not careful.
In saying this please note employment opportunities are still better than NZ, in both wages and number of jobs.
Just lacking in future job security is my opinion.
