Why do first home buyers (and students) need my freakin money?

As if Beneficiaries aren't bad enough!

I freely accept safetynet welfare as my social responsibility as a citizen.

I bought my first farm and incurred my first debts at 27 years old with less than 10% equity.

The only government money I ever enjoyed was around 1990 when a third one in a hundred year flood in 18 months destroyed miles of fencing and a bunch of us set up a workscheme for unemployed and in return for transport and training  that we funded, the dept of welfare assisted with the cleanup with  workers receiving their benefit.

To all wishing to buy a freakin house, do what those wishing to buy a corner  dairy do and go to a bank, if you can't afford the freakin house, the Bank will soon tellyou.
After endless drifters getting a piece of my hard earned cash as a bribe to vote for my political enemies,  to get housing, have spawn, and all the remaining stream of welfare I provided for me and mine, enough I say.

Get off your gluteus maximus and earn it.

Entrenched unemployed on welfare while we are importing Somalis, Phillipinos, Ukrainians and any others with a will to work and make their way in this benighted world,  to pick fruit and veges, milk cows and the myriad of other work deemed unfit to soil their entitled hands is a nonsense that must be ended before we all sink into the morass.

Could not have said it better myself. We have far to many people out there who feel that life is so unfair, the world owes them a living and that those who have achieved and succeeded in life are so lucky. As a WASP male in his early 60's I have found that in life the harder I worked the luckier I got and did not require the largess of others in order to have a reasonable lifestyle.

Seriously? You're that illiterate?

"As a WASP male in his early 60's I have found that in life the harder I worked the luckier I got..."

Oh Puhleeeze, could you be anymore insufferable? You won the lottery when you were born a white middle class male in an era when you were gifted everything due to your gender and skin colour. Additionally, being a baby boomer and taking advantage of free education and cheap houses has meant you've enriched yourself at everyone else's expense, and then were gifted massive tax cuts by Roger Douglas just as you entered your peak earning period. Don't kid yourself you're talented, eh Al.

You really are a bitter and twisted little person arent you Edward. The Profession that I chose was not one that was given out as a free University Degree. It was one where I had to work in the Freezing works to pay for. Even after that the money that was paid in the first 7 years of this job was well below that of other occupations and it was only after that things began to happen financially so dont throw all of your loser thoughts and crap at me. As I said the harder I worked the luckier I got and it was not on the back of any taxpayer funded course.

Blub blub.

"The Profession that I chose was not one that was given out as a free University Degree."

What are those mystery professions, Al you sad, insecure fucktard? Degrees were only free for you and your generation. After that you pulled the ladder up to get tax cuts.

The fact remains you've had it lucky your whole life, and have the gall to lecture everyone else about how it's all because of your hard work. Are you really that stupid, or are you jus being a wanker? Get a life and buy a clue.

It is well known that Ed never worked a hard day in his life. He is also an academic mediocrity who would never have got into varsity if the university under the old admissions. In short, those who know him know he is a grade F failure.

You insufferable old bore.

Your post immediately and ineluctably bring to mind Monty Python's four Yorkshiremen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe1a1wHxTyo

How dare you feel entitled to your assets and resources.

Don't bother buying a from these Boomer fuckwads who decided to pull up the ladder behind them. One of the reasons the cost of housing is so high is due to high immigration which why National has an open door policy. Vote for minor parties like NZ First and encourage them to implement legislation that stops interest from being deducted from Boomers business and personal incomes and stops negative gearing. Watch while the value of their over-leveraged investment properties deflates and they lose most of their net worth and finally know what life is like for the rest of us.

PS your bullshit stories don't stack up when a house back when you brought it was 3 times a single working mans income and now its 7-8 so cry me a river you clowns.

Wow, there's a hell of a lot of stupid on this post. It's like open-mic night at the asylum.

University degrees were never "free". They have always been paid for, one way or another, by parents. From the 60s to the day Roger Douglas saved the country in 1984 (and particularly through the dark days of Ayatollah Muldoon's tenure), the tax code in this country went from restrictive to downright punitive. Students didn't receive a bill in the mail for their education, but their parents (and the parents of kids like Edward, too stupid to graduate from the special needs school) were sure as hell funding their university education through their tax rates, which topped out at somewhere around 80%. At least now it's more honest and direct (even if university is still a communist sheltered workshop because of government meddling).

And Anontard (19/5 10:30pm), you're clearly a classmate of Edward. Immigration is having a miniscule impact on house prices. By far the two greater impacts are the fact local and central government have locked up the supply of land in Auckland thanks to their slavish devotion to UN Agenda 21, and all the skilled tradies have headed south to rebuild the Village of the Damned!

How do you people manage to tie your own shoes?

Yes, Gantt, you retard. Allan's generation stole and continue to steal from both their ancestors and their children yet here you are claiming all they've managed to acquire was a result of graft and hard work. Thanks for proving my point, tardo.

I wouldn't mind so much, but it's the astonishing lack of gratitude and willingness to deny others what they've enjoyed that makes the likes of Allan and you so offensive. You have an excuse in that you're mentally feeble, but even so.
