That is settled then.

Amongst the prominent socialists seeking electoral support at the recent Local Government Triennials and in the light of the woeful polling by Shearers leaderless morass, many NZLP stalwarts assumed an "independent" status.

One such was the Mayor of the Super City.
After the revellations on WhaleOil today he will be definitely a non person in the NZLP.

Both Stuff and Granny Herald are running the sordid details and unusually, are attributing the story to Cameron Slater and an ex HOS journo Stephen Cooke.

What a total clusterf*#k.
How sad for his wife and daughters

I thought the tone of outrage surrounding the use of the Ngati Whatua Romm was hilarious.

"My God! Not the Ngati Whatua Room?"

Sounds as though it will need a damned sight more than a blessing.

The Cook had the best comment of the day. "I guess the young lady would have greeted him each day "Hello Mr Mayor. Do you have a couple of minutes for me?"

Was that minutes or inches Adolf?

This is close to a dead ringer with the Richard Worth/Neelam Choudary affair that saw Worth get the boot. It will be interesting to see if the same standards apply with the Mayor.

Also, an uncanny replica of the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinski affair exposed by Matt Drudge the blogger.

It is difficult to see how he can continue.

Initially t looks as though hemight try to crash through but I don't think it will work.

He is a laughing stock. Couldn't even get it up for two minutes.

He has no option - it was a pure and simple abuse of power, he must resign........but he won't as integrity doesn't exist in the lefts lexicon.

Well, it would be if Len Brown had a political boss that he'd lied to about the affair - but he hasn't, so it isn't.

It allows them to pretend they're above this sort of low-rent sleaze.

Sleaze like Brown and his yellow fever 'weakness'?

Not being a Jafa it doesn't concern me but I must ask; Unless they are elected on a morality platform how does where someone is dipping his wick affect his ability to do the job he was elected for?

Milt is correct, this is nothing like the Worth thing.

Interesting to see the interview with the Whale on TV 3.
Now there's a guy whose father was running the campaign for the opponent and claims it wasn't politically motivated because he didn't post the information prior to the election.
But wants Brown to stand down now because of the information he has posted. And he says that isn't political. Wasn't his opponent second to Brown?
He's up for a Tui award is Slater.

It's an Australian term.
Probably originates from carcass.
No surprises there
