Republican Science

This "legitimate rape" story is awesome on a number of levels.

First, the term "legitimate rape," ie being grabbed and beaten by a stranger, as opposed to merely being forced by a guy with a legitimate claim to your snatch because he bought you dinner or whatever.  This is Republican Man in the real, living flesh - you can see him in Kiwiblog's comments threads any day of the week.

Second, the opportunity for collateral damage to VP candidate Ryan.  Romney and Ryan don't want to be tarred with this "Republican Man" brush, but Ryan's a fan of legislating for the rape of abortion-seeking women using an ultrasound wand - he hasn't a shit's show of avoiding being tainted by this.

Third, Republican Science in all its glory.  You don't get pregnant from rape, because... er, women's stuff.

Poor Willard. Never mind, I'm sure Palin will come out on Twitter and refudiate.

This guy's pretty close to Ryan as it turns out. Looking like another train-wreck VP pick by the Republicans. Hilarious.

When are you going to start your blog up again Fairy? There must be a ton of Obama-related lies and smears just waiting for you to spread them around. Adolt's trying, but he's really not very good.

There is no problem here for Ryan.. all he need do is recall the words of John F Kennedy:

"I am not the Catholic candidate for President. I am the Democratic Party candidate for President who also happens to be a Catholic. I do not speak for my Church on public matters – and the Church does not speak for me."

In other words, and like thousands of other Catholic politicians, all he need do is vow to do his duty of obeying and upholding the laws around abortion.

Yes the mass slaughter of innocent babies is a sacred thing to the left, along with sodomy, but then of course liberals live in a cultural sewer and know no better.

So the moronic mob has been aroused and they are baying for blood - lest any child marked for destruction escape its doom and live to breath God's good air.

Meanwhile mighty Putin ride horse with no shirt on and send women singers to gulag. No sodomy in mighty Putin Russia. He mighty.

This fellow is what is known as a negative asset. A bit like Mallard, Thomson, Reid, Delahunty and Co.

Ridiculous attempt to tar all with the statements of one. Kiwiblog readers even! That's about as stupid as claiming Catherine Delahunty is representative of the entire Left in New Zealand.

There's nobody more right wing in the US than Michelle Malkin and Sean Hannity, and both are calling for Akin's head right now. Most Republicans are appalled at what was said.

Akin will be gone by this time tomorrow, and it's entirely possible that Palin-endorsed Sarah Steelman will take his place. Water off Romney and Ryan's backs.

Didn't Whoopi Goldberg address this issue when she said that Roman Polanski's sodomy of a 14 year old girl wasn't 'rape rape?'

Actually, comparing Akin with Kiwiblog commenters is more unfair to him than to them - some of them go way further than Akin when it comes to "legitimate rape."

But the rape comments are really just icing on the rich, heavy cake of Republican Science this guy represents. You thought the pride in willful ignorance of the American religious loonies only extended to evolution and the age of the planet? Just the tip of the iceberg, mate...

Milt, repeating nonsense multiple times doesn't make it true. Akin does not reflect the Republican Party any more than Westboro Baptist Church represents Christianity.

Judge Holden said...

He's a candidate for the United States senate for God's sake. The only person more representative of the GOP would be Willard the tax and draft dodging multi-millionaire himself. You know that right, Blair?

That's a fair point. After all, when Ted Kennedy was busy abusing young woman during his thirty years as a Senator - as well as drowning one while drunk - I assumed it was representative of more than just his notorious family but the Democratic Party as well. And that was reinforced when Bill The Rapist was president, trailing around pieces of clothing from Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey and who knows how many other victims, when he wasn't leaving semen stains on them.

One could even bring science into it: the psychopathology of leftist males drunk on power and eager to demonstrate their prowess to nubile commoner girls.

But even these acts are forgiven if the right things are publicly professed and they have a D after their name; Bill's going to be speaking at the Democratic Convention!

I'm reminded of a journalist rant of some years ago for the US electorate.. something like "A party of religious bigots, gun toting, antigay, uneducated, gap toothed and inbred.. and as for the Republicans..

The voters made their decisions with respect to Kennedy and Clinton, Tom. Kennedy destroyed poor Willard and Clinton did likewise to Bush and then Dole. You must really hate that.

Tom Hunter said...

Since I supported Clinton through to about 1997, I would think my "hate" comes nowhere near the supernova intensity that leftists like you undoubtedly still hold for Bush destroying poor Al and then the War Hero! Not to mention what Reagan did to Carter and Mondale. Heh, heh, heh!

I'm just not going to be lectured about the morality, ethics or intelligence of GOP politicians by people who still gleefully fall in behind the likes of Clinton, Obama, Biden, Reid, Pelosi,.....

I'm not suffering any delusions of Ted Kennedy or Bill Clinton being nice people, and certainly the Kennedys and Clinton suggest a fixation with using political power to bury yourself in beaver might be more of a Dem thing than a Rep one. But Akin's a nice illustration of fixation with abortion, unsavoury ideas about what kind of rape is really rape and pride in the elevation of superstition above rationalism - which seem to be more of a Rep thing than a Dem one.
