Stand by for another corononial ordered fence though one wont be enough.
On June 24th Colin Robinson went to a pub in Havelock, the real one, to farewell a mate.
Had a few drinks before returning to his boat moored at the Marina.
3days later a man who wanted to discus a dog finally reported him missing after several fruitless attempts to contact Colin at his boat.
His body was found in 3 meters of water estimated at around 2degrees C but there was no evidence of drowning and his BA was 3 times the driving limit.
The Coroner has found he probably died from a cardiac arrest something that happens when a drunk falls into very cold water and no drowning will present.
So I guess a fence around the pub another round the Marina and for it to work another around the boat deck.
OTOH it may well have been his own fault and that is where the matter should lie.
To be fair I am unaware that this coroner has made such a recomendation yet but it is quite possible she will.
