Text Of The Day

From todays Hawkes Bay Today.

`The Treaty Of Waitangi started as our `founding document' and has ended up as our `floundering document'. GH

So if its bollocks why do govts let themselves be bound up in the bollocks? It seems as if there's a constitutional problem that requires we pander to Maori despite them ceding sovereignty in 1840 and clearly re-stating that in 1860 if Wishart is correct.

Who would have thought we'd contemplate legislating a place for stone age mysticisim.

I smell a rat.
