1)Dr Bill Sutch, his wife Shirley Smith, and defence counsel Mike Bungay during Sutch's espionage trial in 1974. Looks like Ballance street, with the old MoD building behind.

1. - Not sure who they are but clothes and hair suggest 1970s (ish.

2. Queesnotwn and Lake Wakatipu, possibly from the Gondala hill.

3. Taeiri Gorge train (blue and gold, has to be in Otago).

4.Akaroa (ish).

5. Dansey's Pass Hotel - had several memorable meals there.

I think I'm too late to add much in terms of identification, but just an aside on the lawyers. Shirley was our lawyer in the early days and her office hopelessly disorganised, and Mike Bungay I recall helping us stay out of court in the early days. George Rosenberg who worked for Shirley at the time help in the defence.

The sign at the back was purely coincidental.
