`Bought a pumpkin 4 $2. Add an onion and chicken stock. Makes soup for four people for two nights with a loaf of bread and it's healthy. No excuse for kids going hungry, just lazy parents.' Unattributed.

Do they still teach cooking in school? Get past even lazy parents - get the kids cooking!
I'm assuming of course the pumpkin purchaser used the only method known to make pumpkin edible (i.e. feed it to a bovine, kill and butcher the bovine and grill the steak or roast the rest.

Your texter paid far too much, I bought two good sized Grey pumpkins the other day for that price.
GD - as I recall mrspdm got a couple at a dollar each a week ago and they may even be cheaper around Hastings if one looked hard enough.
