Only 2 this week,
1. John A Lee, Labour Party politician in the 1930s, who was expelled from the party for his differing views.

2. Tui Brewery at Mangatainoka where the best beer in NZ is brewed

No 4 looks a bit like the Wairakei Hotel but the angle of the drive is wrong.

1. Pass
2. Mangatainoka - Tui's the beer round here.
3 Kawakawa main drag.
4. A farm homestead somewhere - first thoughts were Smedley Station but I don't think so now.
5. Monument to a water (race) reticulation irrigation scheme. Not the one in CHB which the regional council in it's wisdom shut down some years ago.

All photos this week furnish proof that I don't know my own country.

I knew the first two and of course the third as I sent it to GD. 3 and 4 had me well and truly bluffed though.

1. John A. Lee
2. Tui DB Brewery, Mangatainoka and dormitory for a number of beautiful bikini clad employees.
3. Kawakawa main street, Northland
4. Former Hanmer Springs rehabilitation Hospital (? Rutherford wing). The Medical Superintendant in charge was Dr Robert Crawford and it was a tragedy that he saw his life's work belittled and discarded - all in the interests of saving money and because the health reforms in the 80's gave no credit for shared national facilities between DHBs.
