This ought to be fun

I suspect Whale Oil will have enough content from this book for at least two years worth of blog postings.

At least he wears his heart on his sleeve and I can respect that. With most of the MP's you wouldn't have a clue what they actually think about anything.

His world may be better than Clark's version.

Which one wrote it?

Reading his stuff over the years Prosser is really a Muldoonist. He wants the government to create industries, he despises ACT and the neo-economic liberals (aka the asset sales / anti-union crowd) and holds to the "fit in or fuck off" attitude to immigration.

But what this post really shows is why the 21st century progressive right are so contemptible - they resort to Alinskyite smear tactics. Everyone around here does it, with the possible exception of Milt. At least he holds true to his leftist worldview and doesn't pretend to be anything else.

I love how Alinsky has become this terrible boodeyman for right-wingers, to the extent that invoking Alinsky is in itself an Alinksyite smear. None of you had heard of him three years ago.

Prosser's a typically confused, loud-mouthed right-wing reactionary. Plenty of them floating about the blogosphere.

As opposed to all the ever so intelligent leftists who always espouse solutional ideas and never resort to personal attacks in favour of arguing the ideology....

As is usually the case with leftists, if someone holds one facet of ideology which is against their viewpoint, then that person is "a typically confused, loud-mouthed right-wing reactionary", when if you look at the entire summation of the persons stated ideology they are inherently socialist/ pro-big govt, and so are the complete opposite of real capitalism with its laissez faire approach. Instead we have corrupted models of so called capitalism where Govt picks winners and distorts the market place in favour of various insiders, who go on to cement their positions with campaign contributions/ jobs for the favoured ones once they done their service, all resulting in the insiders getting to stifle competition by having barriers erected to new comers which weren't present when the insider set out on their course. These barriers of course make the insiders lazy through cosseting, and so efficiency decreases, thus leading to zombiefication of an industry/ sector/ department.

And your book lauding Alinsky is being published when, Judge?

There's nothing right wing about this fellow. And the cover of the book is misleading, since assuming Prosser has evolved beyond the depicted ape seems a bit of a stretch.
