The major quakes have shared the number 4.

4th September. 4

26th December 6 - 2 = 4.

22nd February 2 + 2 = 4.

13th June 1 + 3 = 4.

Four significant dates.

Now Ken Ring is at it again

So 4th 13th 15th 16th 22nd 26th Sept might just stay in bed.
Then again a significant number of people die in bed eh.

On a more positive note less than 1/2 the last 30 quakes on geonet were in the South Island.
And even better only 2 of the last 15.

Glad my lucky number is three and SWMBO is the first wife, have 2 children, 3 dogs, 3 cars, 1 caravan, 3 lawn mowers, 1 tractor and rural rapid number is #90.
Oh oh 4 bedrooms, sheesh!!

Why do you need 3 lawnmowers?

Quite simple really pdm
Main mower is a Walker with no catcher as we are more than a little steep and didn't want 20/30 Kgs of clippings attached when shit happens.
An old ride on to pick up clippings in front of house, read SWMBO.
A small rotary for fiddly bits.
Oh and an oversized section almost Garden of Eden really, seems pretentious but it really is Paradise.
Call in sometime and enjoy some of the product or a single Malt if you are inclined.
Mine Host at the "Grand Hotel" for directions.

Cheers M

I have a brief trip to the Shaky City this weekend Gravedodger, but no time to venture out to Akaroa unfortunately. I won't complain though if there is not a wake-up call at 4.35am on the morning of 4 September.

Amazing in a way though that almost a year has elapsed since Canterbury suddenly and unwillingly became Earthquake Central.

Akaroa would be new territory for mrs pdm and I GD - but one day we might just turn up.

I'm pretty sure Ring does not use such a method to make his predictions. Do you know anything about his methods or what science he uses? I would guess not and, neither do I. However I am not bothered by anyone exercising their freedom of speech even if they appear to be wrong and especially if consensus science claims they are.
A more interesting subject would be what is actually causing these quakes (something I've heard no real explanation of) rather than joining the ugly mob and ridiculing someone who has done no wrong and for all you know could be the next Galileo.

@ anon 7 33
I have made no connection re Ring and the urban myth on the "4" theory.
They are coincidental.
I give some credence to Kens theory of gravitational effect on the techtonic plates similar to tide effect of the moon that is enhanced with planetary alignment, next occurring in late September 2011.
In other words you have missed the inner ring, pun intended, I have followed the Moon Man's almanac for years.
That said, thankyou for your input.

Dang! I wrote my comment in a notepad before pasting it here. I usually do it on a notepad especially if it is long, like my previous message. When I hit the submit button, the format appeared fucked, ie, widely spaced. Sorry readers, that my post becomes unreadable. I can repost it in a better format (if the previous one can be deleted by admin).

gravedodger said...

@ FF I will delete it as you asked
cheers M

Gravedodger, I've reposted it again and it seemed to disappear. Perhaps it went straight to the spam folder. May be its too long with a few links including HTML tags in the message, where the filter thinks its a spam.

Sorry about that F F thanks for the attempt, it is beyond my knowledge base.
The original that came up so unique was good comment and I regret deleting it now as it is gone also.
Don't give up on me, thanks for coming, try again please next time.
Cheers M
