Apart from the mental picture of all these people on a rickety ladder looking for answers, what the hell has "catch 22' got to do with anything?
I did hear during a report about the recent fatal land slip, that the person who escaped had "self evacuated". Not sure whether that was describing his underwear or what.
That sentence is quite an achievement. I'd be interested to know whether Brownlee actually said "clambering" or whether the journo writing it up just doesn't know their own language. Usually, my money would be on the journalist, but Brownlee doesn't appear to know what a Catch 22 situation is, so may well imagine people "clambering" for answers.
