Had occasion today to drop by the supermarket to replenish the beer frig. I drink Carlsberg and they were offering 12 packs at $18.99. Stacked right beside them were 24 packs of the same brand at $58.Asked one of the staff standing close by how this could be so. He confirmed the $58 price tag was correct. Said to him that I didn't think they would be selling too many of these. His response ... "I wouldn't want you to bet on that because you would lose".
Does anyone really question the need for national standards?
Perhaps the management isn't so dumb.

you need to test your own national standards
"I wouldn't want you to bet on that because you would loose".
yesterday you said:
"and the double whammy will be that many of those going will be precisely the people the city can't afford to loose".
so it's not a one-off, you don't know how to spell "lose".
and while i'm at it you should check the spelling of the post title - it's "weird" not "wierd".
Fair cop ... bloody spell checker and it's weird that it didn't pick up on wierd ... i b4 e and all of that.
But my maths are ok.
confusion rains
why do Americans say math
Because they don't drink Carlsberg.
But if the alternative is Budd they should.

Carlsberg? How gay can you get. Suggest you try Crest. It is a fine British brew and at 10% alcohol a single can will set you right on a warm Sunday afternoon. Can be purchased from most supermarkets.

Of course you leftist ****. It's obvious commissar of childrens' indoctrination should decide what every child should be taught from Wellington.
National Socialist Standards - just another way Key is more left than Klark
Vet - There is a whole field of economic behavioural theory around this. Check out things like washing powder and cornflakes next time you are in supermarket. Guaranteed that the biggest pack wont necessarily be the cheapest by unit weight.
in Aus there is a push for standard cost per measure across their various product lines and sizes. It comes up as a line on the shelf price tag for each item.

Best enjoyed with several of your homeless friends while huddled in a leaking bus shelter.
Poor mixed up Anon 7.10 and 10.17 has the inate ability to respond to every post with a tirade against John Key and National.
Any psychologist would have a field day trying to unscramble his brain which probably suffers from ADD.
