It's happening in Ireland

How long before we start reading similar articles about NZ?
The days of left and right outbidding each other with money borrowed on our behalf are rapidly drawing to a close.
Unless we seriously reinvent the way we run ourselves we are doomed to travel in ever decreasing circles of prosperity.
Our daily conversations will revolve around bailout interest rates, loss of sovereignty and why we have been so stupid.

Come on, look on the bright side. There was one very good thing that came out of the Irish election.
There are no longer any Green MPs in the Irish Parliament.
Let us hope that we can read that part of the news in New Zealand after the election here in November.

I suspect our daily conversations will not be as you suggest. I bet that most people don't have conversations in a fashion that considers anything of subsstance.

Go and watch people in malls and on the streets, listen to the talk. I bet most have no idea about anything beyond tea time.

That is how the Govt likes it.

They are lost.

Phil Goof has already made a start with some pretty strong bids and as for the crazy super city mayor who now plans to charge each car that enters the city, well he must have a true Irish ancestry.

"will you ever break free??"

Yeah, break free from the chains of reason and embrace the face of Russell! Fucking hilarious. Keep it up old fella, you're practically a Marxist!

Really? Did Brown say this? I hope so. It's an idea well past its time. The best idea he has had.

This is a fucking great idea. Gets rid of traffic, no problem parking, and best of all on bludgers, bennies, or leftist can afford to bring their cars into the city centre

When Red Ken did this in London, it was as if you had a rule that said no car worth less than GBP30,000 permitted. Mercedes, BMWs, Jags, Rolls, Range Rovers yes; Fords Mazdas Vauxhalls Hondas no! Best thing for London in years.
