Stick To Fixing Cricket Matches

I see some Paki economist is predicting doom and gloom for New Zealand consumers. And of course it is the ever friendly Herald which is now resorting to dreaming up predictions of bad economic news when there is actually no economic bad news.

The piece is almost straight out of Labour Party taking points with the two most egregious falsehoods here:-

  • He believed next year would be even tougher than this year, as households were hit with extra costs from October's rise in GST, increasing costs of fuel, higher ACC levies and taxes from the emissions trading scheme.
  • "The bottom 60 per cent of income earners are worse off than they were last year. I think the early part of 2011 will be pretty difficult."
I do hope someone will tell this kebab muncher that (a) having your marginal tax rate reduced from 33% to 17.5% does not make you worse off and (b) only a few days ago it was announced that ACC levies would not be increasing next year.

But increased GST and costs associated with the ETS scam do. Why no mention of those, Adolf? Hmm?

Go do the sums, KG. Go do the sums.
BTW I see on CS there was no mention of the reduction in income taxes.

Why did you not mention this KG? Why no mention of the fact ACC levies are held?

That's what happens when you shoot first and ask questions after wards.

The real sums show borrowing at a rate we cannot sustain. Nationally we are broke and although the detail may be wrong the sentiment is correct. Until we get used to living within our means there is no good news. National may be better than Labour but they do not have the courage to deal with the gravy train, Waitangi Tribunal, control freaks and welfare any more than Labour.

I'd believe it was "straight out of Labour Party talking points" Adolf if Labour had an alternative, but they don't. They just offer more of National as National offers more of Labour. Let's face it. NZ is stuffed big time because its citizens voted for morons for decades who barely betray any political differences. Both Progressive. Both Welfarist. Both Collectivist. You can't really hold this against Labour, but you sure as hell can hold it against National. It was up to National to save New Zealand and they've failed miserably. First mistake was electing the political neophyte Key who can sing stupid little ditties with moron radio DJ's very well, or unashamedly suck up to Democrat loving Progressive TV stars in America, but wouldn't know his arse from his elbow politically. We needed Winston Churchill and we got a Perez Hilton.

Save N.Z from what RB?

I'm sitting rather comfortably right now, mortgage is paid off, have a boat, a couple of cars and there is no crime where we live.

What are you struggling with that makes you hate this country so much RB?

"kebab muncher"?

How are those lovely neighbours of yours getting along with their residency application? You seemed so supportive of those "new" New Zealanders here...

...and yet you direct racial abuse at a man who has lived in New Zealand since childhood.

Just telling it like it is.
